As anthropomorphic chipmunk brothers, their names are a pun on the name of the 18th-century cabinet maker and furniture designer Thomas Chippendale. This was suggested by Bill "Tex" Henson, a story artist at the studio.The two of them are the arch enemies of Donald and Pluto.

Alan Hugh Dale is a New Zealand actor. As a child, Dale enjoyed theatre and rugby. After retiring from the sport, he took on a number of occupations, before deciding to become a professional actor at age 27. With work limited in New Zealand, Dale moved to Australia, where he played Dr. John Forrest in The Young Doctors from 1979 to 1982. He later appeared as Jim Robinson in Neighbours, a part he played from 1985 until 1993. He left the series when he fell out with the producers over the pay he and the rest of the cast received. In 2018 it was revealed that Dale would reprise his role as Jim for one episode on 25 December, 25 years after his last appearance.

Dale Coyne Racing (DCR) is an American professional open-wheel racing team that currently competes in the IndyCar Series. The team was founded in 1984 and is owned by former driver Dale Coyne. From 1995 to 2000, the team was known as Payton-Coyne Racing, reflecting a partnership with Chicago Bears great Walter Payton. After the 1988 season, Coyne stepped out of the cockpit and turned his talents to the tutelage of several up-and-coming drivers. Once known for competing on budgets far smaller than most of their competitors, the team earned its maiden victory after 25 years at Watkins Glen International in July 2009 with Justin Wilson.

The Very Best of John Michael Montgomery is a compilation album released in 2003 by American country music artist John Michael Montgomery. It features eighteen songs from his first studio albums, ranging from his 1992 debut "Life's a Dance" to 2002's "'Til Nothing Comes Between Us". The tracks "Cool" and "One Day Less" were previously unreleased, and both produced by Byron Gallimore. "Cool" was later released on Montgomery's 2004 album Letters from Home, while "One Day Less" is not on any of his other albums.
Edward Jones is an Emirati-born British racing driver, competing in the IndyCar Series for Dale Coyne Racing with Vasser-Sullivan. At different points in his career, Jones has competed under both British and Emirati licences. He is the 2016 Indy Lights champion, winning for Carlin Motorsport in his second season in the series. He joined the IndyCar Series in 2017 driving for Dale Coyne Racing, and placed third at the 2017 Indianapolis 500. He left after the year to race in IndyCar for Chip Ganassi Racing and a joint entry between Ed Carpenter Racing and sports car team Scuderia Corsa. After a one-year switch to the DTM championship in 2020, he returned to IndyCar in 2021 with Dale Coyne Racing, driving the team's joint entry with Vasser-Sullivan Racing.

William Fulbright ran for re-election to a sixth term in office, but was defeated in the Democratic primary by Governor of Arkansas Dale Bumpers. Bumpers won the general election easily.
