Dickson Daniel Karaba (born 1948) is a Kenyan politician. He represented Kirinyaga County in the Kenyan Senate from 2013 to 2017. He is a member of The National Alliance (TNA), a constituent party of the Jubilee Alliance coalition.
Daniel Karaba was born in the village of Kiamaina in Kirinyaga County. He attended Kiamaina primary school and proceeded to Kamuiru High School for his O Levels. He then joined Kagumo high school for his A levels. Karaba enrolled in the University of Nairobi for his bachelor's degree in Education.
He became a professional teacher and was promoted to a deputy principal and later a principal of various schools in Kenya including, Kagumo High School, Highway Secondary School, Kianyaga High School, Kirimara High School, Njegas Secondary School.
Karaba was also the Chair of Secondary Schools Heads Association between 1984 and 1998.
Karaba ventured into politics in 2002, winning the Kirinyaga Central parliamentary seat on a NARC party ticket. In 2007 he lost the seat to John Ngata Kariuki. Karaba filled a petition challenging the election. In October 2010 the Supreme Court nullified the election. In February 2011 Karaba lost to Joseph Gitari.
In 2013 he contested for Kirinyaga Senatorial seat on a TNA party ticket and won with a landslide garnering 215,977 votes.
Karaba served as a chairman of education committee in the 9th parliament and was given the same role in the 11th parliament as the Chairman of the Senate Education Committee.
Karaba was a member of two Senate committees, the Committee on Delegated Legislation and Committee on Parliamentary Broadcasting & Library.

It has a population of 901,777 and an area of 2,111 km². Its capital and largest town is Kericho.
Marsabit County is a county in Kenya, covering a surface area of 66,923.1 square kilometres. Marsabit is the second largest county by size in Kenya after Turkana county which has an area of 71,597.8 km2. Its capital is Marsabit and its largest town is Moyale. According to the 2019 census, the county has a population of 459,785. It is bordered to the North by Ethiopia, to the West by Turkana County to the South by Samburu County and Isiolo County, and to the East by Wajir County.
Makueni County is a county in the former Eastern Province of Kenya. Its capital town is Wote.The largest town is Wote town followed by Emali town which is also an important market and stop over for the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR). Emali town is multicultural and adds diversity to Makueni county.The county has a population of 987,653. The county lies between Latitude 1° 35' and 2° 59' South and Longitude 37° 10' and 38° 30' East. It borders Machakos County to the North, Kitui County to the East, Taita Taveta County to the South and Kajiado County to the West and covers an area of 8,008.9 km2.
Martha Wangari Karua is a Kenyan politician. She is a former long-standing member of parliament for Gichugu Constituency and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She was Minister for Justice until resigning from that position in April 2009. She has consistently fought for the protection of women's rights and improvements to the democratic process.

The Party of National Unity (PNU) is a political party in Kenya originally founded as a political coalition. On 16 September 2007, Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki announced the party's formation and declared that he would run as its presidential candidate in the December 2007 Kenyan elections. Following the conditions set by the Political Parties Act which were passed in Kenya in 2008, PNU became an official political party. Recently PNU has launched activities to revamp itself ahead of the 2022 general elections.
The 10th Parliament of Kenya saw the National Assembly opened on 15 January 2008. This following the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) of Raila Odinga winning a majority in the 2007 parliamentary elections. Raila was a candidate in the presidential elections, which resulted in a controversial victory for Mwai Kibaki of the Party of National Unity. The opening of the parliament was fraught with jeers, cheers and brawls between the opposing parties; Mwai Kibaki was greeted by the ODM members with silence and boos, while Raila was greeted by PNU members with accusations of genocide.
John Ngata Kariuki is a Kenyan politician and businessman. He has two children: James Kariuki (husband to Alison Ngethe Kariuki and Dr. Elizabeth Nyawira. His grandchildren are Robyn Kariuki, Lauryn and Colin. His wife, Rose Wanjiku Kariuki, died in 2015.
Ferdinard Ndungu Waititu, also known as Baba Yao, is a Kenyan politician who served as the second governor of Kiambu County from 2016 to January 2020. He was impeached on corruption charges. His troubles started after it was discovered that he was involved in a scheme of grabbing land worth over one million dollars from a widow, amongst other fraudulent activities. He is currently awaiting trial for the mismanagement of a county fund of over five million dollars. He also served as an assistant minister for Water Services and Irrigation in the government of Kenya.
Yusuf Hassan Abdi is a Kenyan politician, diplomat, social activist and former journalist. After working many years with the United Nations, he joined the Kenya parliament as a legislator in 2011.
Irungu Kang'ata is a Kenyan politician. He is the governor of Muranga County. He also is the former senator of Murang'a County, and the former Senate of Kenya Majority Chief Whip, former member of parliament for Kiharu Constituency and a former Councillor for Central Ward in Murang'a town. He is a law graduate from the University of Nairobi and a principal in the firm Irungu Kangata & Co. Advocates located at Flamingo Towers 4th floor, Upperhill, Nairobi. He holds PhD (Law) University of Nairobi and teaches law at Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi.
Johnson Arthur Sakaja is a Kenyan politician serving as the governor of Nairobi City County since 25 August 2022. Previously, he served as the Senator of Nairobi from 2017 to 2022, and as a nominated Member of the National Assembly from 2013 to 2017. He was nominated to Parliament by The National Alliance (TNA) party which was part of the ruling Jubilee Coalition. He was the National Chairman of The National Alliance (TNA) until 9 September 2016 when the party merged with 12 others to form the Jubilee Party.
Joseph Wathigo Manje is a Kenyan politician, a teacher, and an entrepreneur, and currently the Member of Parliament for Kajiado North Constituency in Kajiado County. He is a member of the ruling Jubilee Party under President Uhuru Kenyatta. He previously served as a Commissioner at the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) as well as the Electoral Commission of Kenya's (ECK) South Rift Presidential Election Zonal Coordinator. He also served as a teacher employed by Kenya's Teachers Service Commission. He has business interests in the leather and construction industries.

John Murumba Chikati is a Kenyan politician and the current Secretary General for the Forum for the Restoration of Democracy – Kenya (FORD-Kenya). Chikati is also the current Member of National Assembly for Tongaren Constituency, and the current Secretary General for Catholic MPs Spiritual Support Initiative (CAMPSSI). He is the immediate former Special Secretary for Strategy and Delivery in the Office of the Deputy President.
Jane Njeri Maina is a Kenyan politician who is currently a member of the Kenya National Assembly as Woman Representative for Kirinyaga County. She is a member of the United Democratic Alliance a Kenya Kwanza affiliate party.
Muriuki Charles Njagagua is a Kenyan lawyer and politician who was a member of the 11th parliament of Kenya for Mbeere North Constituency on the ticket of Alliance Party of Kenya (APK).
