The Danish People's Party was a small local-level political party in the Danish city of Odense, existing for a few months in 1993.

The founder of the party, Per Rosen Madsen, was a member of the Progress Party. Due to internal struggles he was excluded from the party in 1991. In 1993 he registered the Danish People's Party with the home office. The party received very few votes in the local elections of November 1993 and Per Rosen Madsen eventually gave up.

Rescue of the Danish Jews Event during World War 2

The rescue of the Danish Jews occurred during Nazi Germany's occupation of Denmark during World War II. On October 1, 1943, Nazi leader Adolf Hitler ordered Danish Jews to be arrested and deported. The Danish resistance movement, with the assistance of many Danish citizens, managed to evacuate 7,220 of Denmark's 7,800 Jews, plus 686 non-Jewish spouses, by sea to nearby neutral Sweden. These efforts started before Hitler's order due to the plans being leaked on September 28, 1943 by German diplomat Georg Ferdinand Duckwitz.

National Socialist Movement of Denmark

The National Socialist Movement of Denmark was a neo-Nazi political party in Denmark. The movement traces its origins back to National Socialist Workers' Party of Denmark, the Danish Nazi party founded in the mid-1930s, more or less as a copy of Adolf Hitler's German NSDAP. After the end of the Second World War, a few people continued under the original party name, and published the newspaper Fædrelandet during the period 1952-1972. The movement was dissolved, reformed, and renamed several times between 1972 and 1991. The current incarnation of Danmarks Nationalsocialistiske Bevægelse was founded on 1 September 1991 by Jonni Hansen.

Flame & Citron is a 2008 historical drama film co-written and directed by Danish director Ole Christian Madsen. The film, a fictionalized account based on historical events, stars Thure Lindhardt and Mads Mikkelsen as two Danish resistance movement fighters nicknamed Flammen and Citronen, during the Nazi occupation of Denmark in World War II. Attracted by the story of the pair since he was twelve, Madsen spent eight years along with co-writer Lars K. Andersen researching historical archives to produce it.

Peter Madsen Danish entrepreneur and murderer

Peter Langkjær Madsen is a Danish convicted murderer, former engineer and entrepreneur. In April 2018 he was convicted of the 2017 murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall on board his submarine, UC3 Nautilus, and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Gustav Rosén

Gustav Rosén was a Swedish newspaper owner, journalist and politician. He went to jail and he was Minister of Defence and the Governor of Västerbotten County. He is known for children's day in Umeå, beech lined country roads and temperance.

On 10 August 2017, Swedish freelance journalist Kim Wall boarded the midget submarine UC3 Nautilus, in Køge Bugt, Denmark, with the intent of interviewing its owner, Danish entrepreneur Peter Madsen. She was reported missing after Nautilus failed to return to Refshaleøen, Copenhagen. The submarine was found sunken the following morning and Madsen was arrested upon being rescued from the water. Between 21 August and 29 November, Wall's dismembered body parts were found in different locations around the area. Charged with her murder, Madsen was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment on 25 April 2018 by Copenhagen City Court following a widely publicised trial. The case is also known in Denmark as Ubådssagen.

Eva Marie Madsen née Braae (1884–1972) was a Danish municipal politician. She became Denmark's first female mayor in January 1950 when she was elected Mayor of Stege on the island of Møn.
