Tatort is a German language police procedural television series that has been running continuously since 1970 with some 30 feature-length episodes per year, which makes it the longest-running German TV drama. Das Traumschiff is a German television drama series by ZDF. The series, about a cruise ship that travels to places around the world, debuted in 1981 and became one of the most-watched television shows in Germany. A total of 83 episodes have been produced as of 2019. It was primarily filmed and set aboard the MS Deutschland cruise ship as it sailed to tourist destinations around the world. The destinations depicted are usually the result of product placement. In 2015, the depicted ship was switched to the MS Amadea. Television producer is Wolfgang Rademann.

Das Boot is a German television series produced for Sky One and a sequel to Das Boot (1981). Like the film, the series is based on Lothar-Günther Buchheim's 1973 book Das Boot, but with additions from Buchheim's 1995 sequel Die Festung. As the original film's plot ends in December 1941, the series' setting takes place nine months later, in 1942. The storyline is split into two narratives, one based on land around the French Resistance, the other set around German U-boat U-612 and its crew. Season 3 has been pushed back to debut in Europe on May 14, 2022; originally slated for April 9, 2022. A fourth season has been ordered, with filming set to begin in June 2022.34 A source from broadcast network Sky cites sensitivities to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine as the reason for the five week delay of the Season 3 release.[35]
