David Whitehill is an Australian TV personality, former Cleo Bachelor of the Year (2001) and dolphin trainer for Sea World on the Gold Coast. [1]

Career

Whitehill has hosted and appeared on a variety of TV shows from 2002, including Hot Source , Brisbane Extra , Mornings with Kerri-Anne , Just for Laughs: Gags , So Fresh and Saturday Afternoon! and lifestyle travel show Escape.

Hot Source is an Australian children's television series which first screened on the Nine Network in 2003. The show had a number of presenters for various segments but Miranda Deakin and David Whitehill were with the show from beginning to end.

Just for Laughs was an Australian light entertainment television program that aired on the Nine Network. The show was hosted by David Whitehill, and showed humorous hidden cameras clips from around the world.

In 2009 he was one of five Australians shortlisted for The Best Job In The World competition run by Tourism Queensland. [1]

In 2009, Tourism Queensland promoted the Great Barrier Reef as a global tourism destination with a website encouraging people worldwide to apply for The Best Job In The World, to be a "Caretaker of the Islands" to "house-sit" the islands of the Great Barrier Reef for half a year, based on Hamilton Island.

In July 2010 it was announced that he would co-host the Qantas in-flight lifestyle programs. [2]

Lester Brain Australian aviation pioneer

Lester Joseph Brain, AO, AFC was a pioneer Australian aviator and airline executive. Born in New South Wales, he trained with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) before joining Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services (Qantas) as a pilot in 1924. He was awarded the Air Force Cross in 1929, after locating the lost aircraft Kookaburra in northern Australia. Having risen to Chief Pilot at Qantas by 1930, he was appointed Flying Operations Manager in 1938. As a member of the RAAF reserve, Brain coordinated his airline's support for the Australian military during World War II. He earned a King's Commendation for his rescue efforts during an air raid on Broome, Western Australia, in 1942, and was promoted to wing commander in 1944.

It was created through a partnership between Helloworld Travel Limited and Nine Entertainment. It is similar to shows like Getaway, Postcards and Luxury Escapes. Helloworld is hosted by a group of Australian television personalities including Bec Hewitt, Ray Martin and Sonia Kruger.
