Al-Sultan Davud Siri Sundhura Bavana Mahaa Radun (Dhivehi: އައްސުލްޠާން ދާވޫދު ކަލަމިންޖާ ސިރީ ސުންދުރަ ބަވަނަ މަހާރަދުން) was the Sultan of the Maldives from 1302 to 1307. He was a son of Sultan Yoosuf I and succeeded his brother to the throne. Sultan Davud was the 16th sultan to ascend the throne from the Lunar dynasty.

The Maldives, officially the Republic of Maldives, is an Asian country, located in the Indian Ocean, situated in the Arabian Sea. It lies southwest of Sri Lanka and India, about 1,000 kilometres (620 mi) from the Asian continent. Al-Sultan Yoosuf Kalaminjaa I Sri Bavanaadheehtha Mahaa Radun was the son of Audha and younger brother of Sultan Hali II. As his brother Sultan Hali II was childless, he succeeded him after his death on 1288. He died in the year 1294 after ruling for six years.

Al-Sultan Salis Kalaminjaa Siri Meesuvara Mahaa Radun was the Sultan of Maldives from 1293 to 1302. He succeeded to the throne after the death of his father Sultan Yoosuf I, by becoming the 15th sultan to ascend the throne of Maldives from the Lunar dynasty.

Sultan Sir Hassan Nooraddeen Iskandar II, KCMG was Sultan of the Maldives from 1935 to 1943, a son of Sultan Muhammed Mueenudheen Kalhu Bandaarain. Sultan Nooraddeen was born on 21 April 1887.

Ibrahim Nooraddeen was the sultan of the Maldives, first in 1882 to 1886. After 4 years, 11 months and 29 days, Muhammad Mueenuddeen II took over the throne. Nooraddeen came to power for the second time in 1888, and was the sultan until he died in 1892.

Dhovemi of the Maldives

Dhovemi Kalaminja Siri Thiribuvana-aadiththa Maha Radun or Donei Kalaminjaa was the second king of the Maldives from 1141 to 1166 or 1176 according to the Raadhavalhi and the Loamaafaanu copper plate writings. The Taarikh chronicles. however calls this king Sultan Muhammad ibn Abdullah which is probably the Muslim name of the king after his conversion to Islam in the 12th year of his reign. Later on the title of Dharumavantha (Dharumas) Rasgefaanu or 'the benevolent king' was bestowed upon him. He is also known as the first ruler of the Theemuge Dynastry. This name was derived from his house's name, Theemuge, some sourced refer to the royal house as the Maalei Dharikolhu. Though it was being called Theemuge Darikolhu they were descendents of the Buddhist Kings of the Lunar Dynastry or Soma Vansa.

Al-Sultan Wadi Kalaminjaa Siri Dhagatha Suvara Mahaa Radun was the Sultan of the Maldives between 1214 and 1233. He was also one of the sons of Fathahiriyaa Maavaa Kilege. Sultan Wadi ascended the throne in 1214 after the death of his elder brother Sultan Dhihei. He was succeeded by his younger brother Valla Dio


Al-Sultan Hali Kalaminjaa I Siri Singaa Abaarana Maha Radun or Al-Sultan Ali II Siri Singaa Abaarana Mahaa Radun was the Sultan of Maldives from 1266 to 1268. He was the 11th sultan to ascend the throne of Maldives from the Lunar dynasty. His father was Vengeheli Kalo of Kendhoo and his mother was Aidage Maavaa Kilege daughter of Fathahiriya Maavaa Kilege. He reigned for 1 year and six months.

Al-Sultan Hali Kalaminjaa II Sri Areedhi Suvara Mahaa Radun or Al-Sultan Ali III Sri Areedha Suvara Mahaa Radun was the Sultan of Maldives from 1278 to 1288. He succeeded his father Audha on the throne. He had no offspring and was succeeded by his brother Yoosuf.

Al-Sultan Ahmed Shihaabuddine Sri Loka Adheehtha Mahaa Radun was the Sultan of Maldives from 1341 to 1347. He succeeded his father to the throne and ruled until his deposition by his sister, Queen Khadijah. After his deposition he was banished to Haddhunmathi Atoll and was assassinated while he was there.

Al-Sultan Keimi Kalaminjaa Siri Madheenee Suvara Maha Radun was the Sultan of Maldives from 1268 to 1269. He was the 12 sultan to ascend the throne of Maldives from the Lunar dynasty. He was also the son of Aidage Maavaa Kilege daughter of Fathahiriya Maavaa Kilege.

Al-Sultan Dhihei Kalaminjaa II Siri Dhagatha Abaarana Mahaa Radun was the Sultan of the Maldives from 1199 to 1214. He ascended the throne after the death of his elder brother Dhinei in 1199. He was the sixth sultan to ascend the throne of Maldives from the Lunar dynasty. He ruled for 15 years.

Al-Sultan Abdullah I Sri Dhanmaru Aadheettha Mahaa Radhun was the Sultan of the Maldives from 1374 to 1376.

Al-Sultana Raadhafathi Sri Suvama Abaarana Mahaa Rehendhi was the Sultana of the Maldives in 1380-1383.

Sultan Hassan IV was the sultan of the Maldives from 1480 to 1481. He was the son of Sultan Mohamed II and Queen Golhaavehi rani kilege. Just one month after his succession to the lion throne (singasanaa) of Maldives, he was deposed by Omar, one of his relatives.

Sultan Omar II Sri loaka Sundhura Mahaa Radhun was the sultan of the Maldives from 1480 to 1484. He was the Son of Sultan Yoosuf II Lord of twelve Thousand Isles and the Sultan of Maldives. Sultan Omar was the seventeenth Sultan to ascend the lion throne of Maldives from the Dynasty of Hilaaly. He died in 1484 in Malé, the capital of Maldives, after ruling the country for four years. He is buried in Hukuru mosque cemetery.

Prince Ibrahim Fareed Didi was the son of Sultan Abdul Majeed Didi and Princess consort Famuladeyrige Didi. He was the brother of King Muhammad Fareed Didi of Maldives. Prince Ibrahim Fareed spent most of his life in the Kingdom of Egypt.

Amina Rani Kilegefa’anu or Aminath Rani Kilegefan was princess regent of the Maldives in the absence of her father Muhammad Imaduddin III in 1754–1757, and Sultana regnant in 1757–1759.

Amina I of the Maldives also called Amina Kabafa’anu and Aminath Kabafan, was sultana regnant of the Maldives from 1753 until 1754. She also served as joint regent with her spouse Ali Shah Bandar Vela’ana’a Manikufa’anu in 1773 during the pilgrimage of her brother Sultan Muhammed Ghiya'as ud-din to Mecca.
