De Collega's (The Colleagues) is a classic Belgian comedy TV series about colleagues working in an office of the Ministry of Finance. It originally aired for three seasons between 9 September 1978 and 21 February 1981 on the BRT. A total of 37 episodes was made. The series was written by Jan Matterne, who also directed the first season. The second and third seasons were directed by Vincent Rouffaer. The populair series was re-aired numerous times. [1]
In 1988 a feature film was released, De Collega's Maken de Brug. [2]
In 2018 another film was released, De Collega's 2.0. This film was an updated version of the original TV series with new characters. A handful of the original cast members guest starred. [3]
Jan Matterne turned in a proprosal at the BRT, then the only Flemish broadcasting company, to make a television series about colleagues but it was rejected. Matterne decided to turn his idea into a theatre play which went on stage in 1976 by Mechels Miniatuur Teater, a professional theatre group based in Mechelen. The play was that successful BRT gave green light to produce the television series. The majority of the actors in the stage play reprised their role. [4] [5]

Lloyd Vernet Bridges Jr. was an American film, stage and television actor who starred in a number of television series and appeared in more than 150 feature films. He was the father of four children, including the actors Beau Bridges and Jeff Bridges. He started his career as a contract performer for Columbia Pictures, appearing in films such as Sahara (1943), A Walk in the Sun (1945), Little Big Horn (1951) and High Noon (1952). On television, he starred in Sea Hunt (1958-1961). By the end of his career, he had re-invented himself and demonstrated a comedic talent in such parody films as Airplane! (1980), Hot Shots! (1991), and Jane Austen's Mafia! (1998). Among other honors, Bridges was a two-time Emmy Award nominee. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on February 1, 1994.

Aart Staartjes was a Dutch actor, director, television presenter and documentary maker from Amsterdam. He portrayed Meneer Aart on Sesamstraat, the Dutch co-production of Sesame Street. ASWH, short for Altijd Sterker Worden Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, is an association football club from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1929. It won section championships in 1949, 1959, 1961, 1970, 1883, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2024. In 2005 ASWH also won the Dutch Championship of Amateur Soccer and the Dutch Championship of Saturday Soccer. Ascending gradually through the ranks, ASWH played 2019–2022 in the semi-professional Tweede Divisie.
