The Central Delaware SA Future was a North American professional soccer team based in Dover, Delaware. Founded in 2005, the team played in Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL), a national amateur league at the third tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The team ceased operation after the 2010 season.
Delaware Dynasty was an American soccer team, founded in 2006. The team was a member of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, until 2007, when the team left the league and the franchise was terminated.
The Delaware Wizards were a professional soccer club based in Wilmington and New Castle, Delaware. The team played their first game in 1993 and their last in 2000. They played in the USISL. He came to the United States after being rejected by Arsenal, then returned to Ireland, playing for Cork City in their inaugural season in the League of Ireland during 1984. He also played for the Republic of Ireland youth team.
The Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens are the athletic teams of the University of Delaware of Newark, Delaware, in the United States. The Blue Hens compete in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as members of the Colonial Athletic Association.
The Delaware State Hornets are the sixteen sports teams representing Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, tennis, and track and field; women's-only bowling, softball, and volleyball; and men's-only baseball. The Hornets complete in the NCAA Division I; they have been members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference since 1970. The 2011 CAA Men's Soccer Tournament, known as the 2011 Virginia 529 CAA Men's Soccer Championship for sponsorship reasons, was the 29th edition of the CAA Men's Soccer Tournament, which determines the conference's automatic berth into the 2011 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. Played from November 10–13, 2011 at James Madison University's Soccer Complex, the University of Delaware Fighting Blue Hens defeated the Old Dominion University Monarchs to their first ever CAA Men's Soccer Tournament since joining the conference. For Delaware, the title clinched their third ever berth into the tournament, and their first since 1970.
The Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens men's soccer team represents the University of Delaware in all men's college soccer competitions. The Blue Hens, have enjoyed a resurgence in conference and national prominence in the last 2 years under head coach Ian Hennessy. The team qualified and lost in the semi-finals of one of the nations top conferences, the CAA, in 2010 before winning its first ever conference championship in 2011. The 2011 team defeated the University of Virginia in the NCAA first round before succumbing to Final Four participant UCLA in the second round. The team's previous apex of success came in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when the Blue Hens qualified into the 1968 and 1970 editions of the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship, to date their only appearances in the tournament.
The 2015 CAA Men's Soccer Tournament was the 33rd edition of the tournament. It determined the Colonial Athletic Association's automatic berth into the 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship.
