Denkyirahene is the title given to the King of the Denkyira people of the Central Region of Ghana. They are part of the Akan ethnic group. The Denkyirahene's official palace is the Amponsem Fie in Dunkwa-on-Offin. He comes from the Agona Clan.

Osei Kofi Tutu I was one of the founders of the Ashanti Empire, assisted by Okomfo Anokye. The Asante are an Akan ethnic group of West Africa. Osei Tutu led an alliance of Asante states against the regional hegemon, the Denkyira, completely defeating them. He ruled the Kumaseman State between c.1680/c.1695-1701 and he ruled the Ashanti Empire from late 1701-c.1717.

The school won One-eighth Stage of Ghana National Science and Maths Quiz, 2020 contest by one point, after facing tough competition from the only all-female school to qualify from the Bono-Ahafo Zone – Our Lady of Mount Carmel Girls’ SHS.

Odeefuo Boaponsem was a traditional ruler in Ghana and Paramount Chief of Denkyira in the Central Region. His official title was Denkyirahene - King of Denkyira. He was the ninth president of the National House of Chiefs and served from 1999 to 2001.
