Indogermanische Forschungen is an annual peer-reviewed academic journal of linguistics. It focuses primarily on Indo-European studies, but also publishes contributions on other languages and linguistic fields. It was established in 1892 by Karl Brugmann and Wilhelm Streitberg and published until vol. 37 (1916/17) by Verlag Karl J. Trübner. Starting with vol. 38 (1917/20) it has been published on an annual basis by Walter de Gruyter. Vols. 1–43 were supplemented with the Anzeiger für indogermanische Sprach- und Altertumskunde. Algebra i Logika is a peer-reviewed Russian mathematical journal founded in 1962 by Anatoly Ivanovich Malcev, published by the Siberian Fund for Algebra and Logic at Novosibirsk State University. An English translation of the journal is published by Springer-Verlag as Algebra and Logic since 1968. It published papers presented at the meetings of the "Algebra and Logic" seminar at the Novosibirsk State University. The journal is edited by academician Yury Yershov.

The creation of this journal inspired Gabriel Monod to found the French Revue historique in 1876. Archiv für das Studium der neueren Sprachen und Literaturen is the oldest modern philological journal, founded in 1846 by Ludwig Herrig and Heinrich Viehoff.
