Kala SuriDiliup Gabadamudalige is a Sri Lankan pianist, keyboardist, composer, lyricist and producer. He is the pioneer in Computer/MIDI Music in Sri Lanka.
Educated at Royal College, Colombo, where he was a pioneer member of the Royal College Band. A prize winner in Piano from the Trinity College of Music, he was the leader of the Junior Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka. However in 1979 he joined Air Lanka as an aircraft technician and underwent training at the Air Force Academy, China Bay, Trincomalee and went on to work as an Aircraft Technician at the Colombo Airport in Katunayake until he left the field in 1985 to take up full-time music.
He was the Music Director of Young Asia Television (YA TV) from its inception till December 2003 and pioneered the Institute of Computer Music Technology in 2002. For his contribution in the field of music, he was awarded the title Kala Suri by the government of Sri Lanka. Diliup was also awarded the first Lylie Godrich Memorial Award for Contributions to the Western Music Industry of Sri Lanka by the Govt. in 2011.

David Sydney Loku Palihakkara, popularly as Shesha Palihakkara, was a Sri Lankan dancer, film actor, and producer. He achieved critical recognition with a starring role in Lester James Peries' masterpiece Rekava and as producer of Getawarayo, Saravita and Ranmuthu Duwa.

He was a Professor of Computer Science and former Dean of the Faculty of Science, University of Colombo. Prof Samaranayake played a major role in the development of IT and IT related education in Sri Lanka. He was at the time of his death the chairman of the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka and was the founding and former director of the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC).

Kalasuri Arisen Ahubudu was a Sri Lankan writer, orator, scholar, playwright, teacher (Guru), Sinhala lyricist, author and poet. He is a member of the Hela Havula. He has received three government awards for literary works, the title of Kalasuri from the Government of Sri Lanka, and the Sarasaviya Awards film award for best composer. Chandana Chitral Somapala, aka Chity Somapala, is a Sri Lankan hard rock and heavy metal vocalist and a music director. He is known for his work with European power metal bands Firewind, Power Quest, Avalon, Faro, Red Circuit, and Civilization One. Somapala gained popularity in his home country due to his Sinhala track "Nadee Ganga" which was released in 1998.
Royal College, Colombo is a selective entry boys' school located in Cinnamon Gardens, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Started by Joseph Marsh in 1835, it was established as the Colombo Academy by Sir Robert Wilmot-Horton in January 1836, as part of the implementation of the recommendations of the Colebrooke Cameron Commission (1833), and was the first government-run secondary school for boys in the island.
