The men's 3 metre springboard diving competition at the 2014 South American Games in Santiago was held on 15 March at the Aquatic Center National Stadium. [1]

2014 South American Games

The 2014 South American Games was a multi-sport event that took place in Santiago, Chile. It was the 10th edition of the ODESUR South American Games. Santiago hosted this event for the second time, the first being in 1986. Most of the events took place in and around the National Stadium. The games were held between March 7 to 18.

Jennifer Abel is a Canadian diver. She is currently partnered with Mélissa Citrini-Beaulieu for synchronized diving. She won an Olympic bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics in the 3 m synchro diving event with Émilie Heymans. Abel is a four-time Commonwealth Games champion in the 1 m and 3 m synchronized springboard; and is also a three-time Pan American Games champion in the 3 m springboard and 3 m synchronized springboard. Her ten medals at the FINA World Championships are a record for most medals by a Canadian in diving at the world championships.

Jack Laugher British diver

Jack David Laugher is a British diver competing for Great Britain and England. A specialist on springboard, he competes in individual springboard events, and in synchronised events with Chris Mears and later Daniel Goodfellow. Laugher and Mears became Britain's first diving Olympic champions by winning a gold medal in the men's synchronised 3m springboard event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, an achievement many had expected double world 10m champion Tom Daley would achieve first. A week later, Laugher won a silver in the men's individual 3m springboard at the same Games, becoming the first British diver to win multiple Olympic diving medals at the same Games.

Diving competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 10 to 13 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. Due to naming rights the arena were known as the latter for the duration of the games. Due to Pan American Games being scheduled to be held roughly around the same time as the 2015 World Aquatics Championships scheduled for Kazan, Russia, the diving begin on the day of the opening ceremony. A total of eight diving events were held: four each for men and women.

The men's 3 metre springboard competition of the diving events at the 2015 Pan American Games was held between the 10 and 11 of July at the CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Aquatics Centre and Field House in Toronto, Canada. The winner of the competition qualified his country a quota place for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. If the host nation of the Games wins the event, the runner up will qualify instead.

Matthew Lee is a British diver. Adept in both individual and synchronised diving, and across both 3-metre springboard and platform, Lee won the gold medal in 10-metre platform at the 2015 European Games, the mixed 10-metre synchronised platform at the 2017 European Diving Championships and has twice been European junior champion on the 3-metre springboard. At world level, Lee won the silver medal in the mixed 10-metre synchronised platform event at the 2017 World Championships.

The diving competition at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games was held in Barranquilla, Colombia from 19 to 25 July at the Complejo Acuático.

The men's 3 metre springboard competition of the diving events at the 2019 Pan American Games was held on 3–4 August at the Aquatics Centre in Lima, Peru.
