Inspiral Carpets are an English rock band, part of the late-1980s/early-1990s Madchester movement. Formed in Oldham in 1980, the band's most successful lineup featured frontman Tom Hingley, drummer Craig Gill, guitarist Graham Lambert, bassist Martyn Walsh and keyboardist Clint Boon.
Autopsy is an American death metal band formed in Contra Costa County, California in 1987 by Chris Reifert and Eric Cutler. The group disbanded in 1995 and reunited in 2009.

Alchemist was an Australian progressive metal band from Canberra whose style combined death metal, progressive rock, psychedelic, Eastern, Aboriginal and electronic influences. The band formed in 1987 and released six studio albums, an EP and a compilation album. Work began on a new EP in 2010 but the band went on an indefinite hiatus and then split up. They are the only group to appear at every Metal for the Brain festival, an event they ran and organised from 1996. Alchemist also played at the Big Day Out and toured Europe several times.
Disrupt was an American crust punk band from Lynn, Massachusetts, that was active from 1987 to 1993. The lineup was Jay Stiles and Pete Kamarinos (vocals), Chris Drake (guitar), Harry Haralabatos (drums), Tony Leone (bass). After recording one rehearsal demo, Tony and Harry left the band. Brad Jones (drums) and Mike Williams (guitar) joined in the spring of 1988. Brad left the band a couple of months later and Mike started playing drums. With this lineup, they recorded the Millions Die For Moneymaking thirteen-song demo with Jay also playing bass in November 1988. In the spring of 1989, Mike and Chris left the band and Harry their first drummer rejoined so they could record songs that at the time were supposed to be on a split 7-inch with Extreme Noise Terror. At this time, they recruited Scott Lucid to play bass. In October 1989, they recorded five songs for the self titled 7-inch that was co-released on Crust records and Deafcore records. The lineup on the first 7-inch was Pete (vocals), Jay, Scott (bass) and Harry (drums). In 1990, Scott left the band and they acquired Bob Palombo to play bass. A few months earlier, Chris Drake rejoined the band and Terry Savastano (Spasm) joined on second guitar. This lineup recorded eleven songs for the Refuse Planet 7-inch Relapse and split 7-inch with Destroy in January 1991. Both records were released in 1991. Chris left the band in early 1991 and then they got Jeff Hayward on second guitar. About a week after Jeff joined the band, Harry (drums) quit so they recruited Randy Odierno. In May 1991 the lineup was Pete Kamarinos (vocals), Jay Stiles (vocals), Terry Savastano (guitar), Jeff Hayward (guitar), Bob Palombo (bass) and Randy Odierno (drums). That year they entered Headroom studios and recorded songs for split 7-inches with Disdain, Resist, Tuomiopaivan Lapset (Ecocentric) and Taste of Fear. The split 7-inches and the Smash Divisions live 7-inch (S.O.A.) were released in 1992. In November 1992, they entered One World studios with Bill T. Miller and recorded thirty songs for the Unrest album and Deprived 7-inch. The ten songs for the Deprived 7-inch were new recordings of older tracks. In June 1993, they entered the Lanes studios with Bill T Miller and recorded 17 songs. Eight songs from the session were released on the split LP with Sauna (Sludge) in 1994. The split 7-inch with Warcollapse was released on Crust records in 1995. Disrupt toured Europe in October/November 1993. After the tour, they broke up due to personal and musical differences. The Unrest album was released on Relapse in August 1994.
Mortician is an American death metal band from Yonkers, New York, founded in 1989. They have released most of their albums since the House by the Cemetery EP on Relapse Records, but have released their latest album on their own label, Mortician Records. They have toured several times through America and Europe. The band is heavily inspired by horror movies, which is expressed in the lyrics, the artwork, and the use of samples throughout their discography.

Armoured Angel were an Australian thrash and death metal band from Canberra, which formed in 1982 as Metal Asylum. The band's founding mainstay, Glen "Lucy" Luck provided bass guitar. They pushed the musical boundaries of the local thrash metal scene and were pioneers of Australian death metal. The group also helped establish Australia's metal festival, Metal for the Brain in 1991. They issued a studio album, Angel of the Sixth Order, in July 1999 before disbanding soon after.
Grand Belial's Key (GBK) is a black metal band founded in Oakton, Virginia in 1992 by guitarist Gelal Necrosodomy and vocalist Lord Vlad Luciferian. Lord Vlad Luciferian was later ejected from the group due to internal differences. The band is considered National Socialist black metal, a label in response to which the band has argued that its lyrics are simply "anti-Jewish/Christian and/or anti-religion". However, Gelal Necrosodomy has stated that "black metal to me is paganism, and paganism is neo-fascism, and neo-fascism is anti-christian, and anti-christianity is black metal. It is a circle that cannot be altered for everything fits in perfectly."

Their early recordings, including the Disembowelling Party, The Unrequited Love of Chicken Soup and Eat More Crust demos, their debut full-length Green Is Good (1990) and the EPs The Unrequited Love of Chicken Soup (1990) and Spare the Wrench, Surrender the Earth (1991) featured a line-up of Yurkiewicz, O'Donnell and DiPietro, with drum duties being shared between Bill Schaeffer and Pat McCahan.

Seventh Angel are an English Christian metal band that formed in 1987 in Halesowen, West Midlands. The band was known for its combination of doom metal and thrash metal. The band initially released two albums, The Torment (1990) and Lament for the Weary (1992), before disbanding; these records achieved mainstream distribution through the Music for Nations label, making Seventh Angel label mates with such groups as Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth. The Daily Telegraph called Seventh Angel "one of the leading Christian thrash metal bands in Great Britain."
