Dummy is an American indie pop band from Los Angeles, California. The group consists of Alex Ewell, Emma Maatman, Nathan O'Dell and Joe Trainor. [1]

History

The group released their first and second EPs in 2020, titled Dummy and EP2 respectively. [2] The group released their first album in 2021 titled Mandatory Enjoyment through Trouble in Mind Records. [3] [4] [5] In 2022, the group released two new songs, "Mono Retriever" and "Pepsi Vacuum" for the Sub Pop 7" series. [6] The group released their second full-length album, Free Energy, in 2024 through Trouble in Mind Records. [7] [1] [8] The album was named "Album of the Week" by Stereogum. [9] and received an 8.0 rating from Pitchfork. [10]

"Let It Happen" is a song by Tame Impala, the project of Australian rock artist Kevin Parker. It was released as the lead single from his third studio album under the moniker, Currents (2015), on 10 March 2015. The song centers on accepting personal transition, and was worked on in various locations around the world. The song runs at nearly eight minutes long, and its second half contains a section of the song repeating akin to a scratched Compact Disc, and stripped-down lyrics consisting of gibberish. It also has vocoded-like vocals in the second half, which were actually manipulated with a keyboard sampler. Like with the rest of Currents, Parker was the song's sole writer and producer.

Teen Dream is the third studio album by American dream pop duo Beach House. It was released on January 26, 2010, as the band's debut album on the record label Sub Pop. Internationally, the album was released by Bella Union in Europe, Mistletone Records in Australia, and Arts & Crafts in Mexico. The album was produced by the band and Chris Coady. The duo began recording the album after going on tour in support of their second studio album Devotion (2008), with sessions taking place at Dreamland Studios in Hurley, New York and DNA in New York City.
