Durham School is an English independent boarding school for pupils aged between 3 and 18 years. Founded by the Bishop of Durham, Thomas Langley, in 1414, it received royal foundation by King Henry VIII in 1541 following the Dissolution of the Monasteries during the Protestant Reformation. It is the city's oldest institution of learning.

The Durham School was a historic schoolhouse on Durham Road in Durham, Arkansas. It was a single-story Craftsman style stone structure, with a gable roof, and entrances at the opposite gable ends. Built in 1829, the school had three classrooms and space for a teacher's living quarters. It was used until the Durham school district was consolidated into that of Elkins in 1948. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The building has since been destroyed by fire, and was delisted from the Register in 2018.
Durham School of the Arts (DSA) is a secondary magnet school located in downtown Durham, North Carolina, United States, housing 1,890 students. Its focus is on the visual and performing arts.
Durham Public Schools was formed in 1992 with the merger of Durham's previous two school districts and is currently the 8th largest school system in North Carolina. There are currently 54 public schools in the system, consisting of 30 elementary (K-5), 9 middle (6-8), 2 secondary (6-12), 11 high (9-12), 1 alternative, and 1 hospital school. Durham's schools are traditionally named after notable members of the local community, or the area in which they are built.
