Dushawne Simpson is an American soccer coach, currently coaching with the NEFC. Simpson has been a part of six national championship teams with Oakwood, Aztecs, Breakers Reserves and a national championship with his U17G & U16 NEFC teams. Simpson has also led his club teams to 10 State Cup championships as well as his girls high school team Pingree to 4 NEPSAC Championships. Pingree has had 4 All Americans under his watch and he has helped develop over 30 professional players.
Before moving over to coaching, Simpson was a soccer player. Simpson played his youth soccer in Connecticut and played his high school soccer at Avon Old Farms School and then Avon High School. At Avon High School, Simpson helped lead his team to a #2 national high school soccer ranking in 1990 and was selected to the 1990 CT All-State team in Soccer, Basketball and Track.
Simpson continued at the collegiate level, playing at NCAA Division II powerhouse Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) as a freshman and then moving on to Salem State College. Dushawne was an all-conference performer at Salem State College and as a freshman he was all-conference and Freshman of the Year for SCSU when he led the league in scoring.
Simpson followed up his college career by playing professionally for several teams, including the New Hampshire Phantoms, the Connecticut Wolves and the Boston Bulldogs. (soccer)

Chris Palmer is an American former football coach and college athletics administrator. Palmer served as the head coach for Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL) from 1999 to 2000 and in the same capacity with the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League (UFL) in 2010. He was the head football coach at the University of New Haven from 1986 to 1987 and at Boston University from 1988 to 1989. Palmer has also served as an assistant coach with the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Houston Oilers, Tennessee Titans and the Buffalo Bills of the NFL. He later returned to the University of New Haven and served as the athletic director from 2018 to 2019.
Karl Bernard Hobbs II is an American men's college basketball coach, currently the associate head coach at Georgia Tech. He is the former head coach of the George Washington University Colonials men's basketball team. During his tenure, the Colonials won two Atlantic 10 Conference championships and made three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances from 2005–07. Hobbs is known for his high-energy, frenetic coaching style.

Jeffrey John Finger is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman who played in the National Hockey League from 2006-2010 with the Colorado Avalanche and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Finger holds regional records for most goals (17), assists (40), points (57) and games played (199) for NHL players born, in the modern era, within The Copper Country of The Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Only Clarence "Taffy" Abel, who was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan,, who played in the NHL from 1926-1934, has played more games (333) than Finger, or any other player born in The Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Finger is regarded as the best all-around ice hockey player to be born and raised in The Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Finger was inducted into Michigan's Upper Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
George Brown is an American former soccer forward who played his entire career in the United States. He signed with an amateur team in 1950 at the age of fifteen and was highly successful until suffering a knee injury in 1957. Although he continued to play until 1962, he never regained the full use of his knee. He worked for Exxon, an oil company, for over thirty years, coaching youth soccer throughout the world. He earned one cap with the U.S. national team in 1957, won a bronze medal at the 1959 Pan-Am Games in Chicago, and is a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame.

Boston Aztec is an American amateur soccer team based in Beverly, Massachusetts, United States. Founded in 2005, the team plays in Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL), a national amateur league at the second tier of the American Soccer Pyramid.
Kerry Bascom is a retired American women's basketball player. She played forward and center for the Connecticut Huskies (UConn) from 1987 to 1991, scoring 2,177 points, a school record until broken in 1998 by Nykesha Sales. She helped lead the Connecticut team to its first ever Big East Conference regular season championship (1989), first Big East Tournament championship (1989), first NCAA tournament appearance (1989), first NCAA Tournament win (1990), and the first ever NCAA Final Four appearance (1991). Bascom is the first UConn player to be named to a national All America team. She went on to play for the gold medal-winning World University Games team in 1991.

She played semi-professionally with Chicago Cobras, Arizona Heatwave, Ajax America Women, Mile High Edge, Pali Blues, and Boston Aztec; at the professional level, she appeared for Los Angeles Sol, Boston Breakers, PK-35 Vantaa, Seattle Reign, and FC Kansas City.

She previously played for the Saint Louis Athletica, Philadelphia Independence, and the Atlanta Beat in the WPS and was a member of the United States U-23 women's national soccer team.
The St. Cloud State Huskies are the athletic teams for St. Cloud State University.
