It contains 9 remixes of 8 tracks from Yorke's 2006 solo album The Eraser. The remixes had earlier been released in the UK by XL Recordings as three EPs, each comprising three tracks. The EPs were first released as downloads in December 2007, then on 12" vinyl records in early 2008.

English musician Thom Yorke has released three studio albums, one soundtrack album, two EPs, two compilation albums, and 16 singles. The frontman of the alternative rock band Radiohead since 1985, Yorke's first singles as a solo artist were as a featured vocalist on the singles "El President" by Drugstore and "Rabbit in Your Headlights" by Unkle. Yorke embarked on a solo career in 2006 whilst still a member of Radiohead with his debut solo album The Eraser, an exploration of electronica. The album was released by XL Recordings, peaking at number three on the UK Albums Chart and number two on the Billboard 200, and included Yorke's highest-charting single, "Harrowdown Hill". An extended play consisting of B-sides, Spitting Feathers, and a remix album, The Eraser Rmxs, were issued in 2006 and 2008, respectively.

"Moth" / "Wolf Cub" is a collaborative release by the British musicians Burial and Four Tet. It was released exclusively on vinyl on 4 May 2009 by Hebden's own Text Records imprint. Atoms for Peace are an English-American supergroup comprising Radiohead singer Thom Yorke, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker of Beck and R.E.M., and percussionist Mauro Refosco. Yorke formed the band in 2009 to perform songs from his debut solo album, The Eraser (2006). They toured in 2010 and 2013, and released an album, Amok, in February 2013.

English electronic music producer Burial has released two studio albums, two compilation albums, one mix album, ten extended plays and ten singles. Burial debuted in May 2005 with the release of his debut extended play South London Boroughs on the Hyperdub label. His eponymous debut studio album followed in May 2006 and was praised by music critics for its unique incorporation of 2-step garage, ambient, downtempo, dubstep and trip hop styles. Following the releases of the extended plays Distant Lights (2006) and Ghost Hardware (2007), Burial released his second studio album Untrue in November 2007 to critical acclaim. It peaked at number 58 on the UK Albums Chart and at number 57 on the Ultratop 50 chart for the Belgian region of Flanders. Untrue later received nominations for the Mercury Prize and the Shortlist Music Prize, with the album experiencing a 1004% sales increase in the week following the Mercury Prize awards ceremony.

Text Records is a British independent record label founded by Kieran Hebden in 2001. Hebden has released much of his own music through the label: several albums and singles as Four Tet and two albums with the band Fridge. Other artists to have released recordings on the label include Daphni, Koushik and One Little Plane.
