Eide is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the region of Nordmøre. It is located on the Romsdal peninsula, along the Kornstadfjorden and the Kvernesfjorden. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Eide. Other villages include Lyngstad, Vevang, and Visnes.

However, in 2017 the government decided to abolish the current counties of Norway (fylker) and to replace them with fewer, larger administrative regions (regioner). The first of these new areas came into existence on 01 January 2018, when Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag merged to form Trøndelag.

The Norwegian Bible Belt is a loosely defined southwestern coastal area of Norway, which is more religious than most of Norway. Typically, the definition covers Western Norway (Vestlandet) and Southern Norway (Sørlandet), which includes the counties of Rogaland, Hordaland, Sogn og Fjordane, Møre og Romsdal, Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder. However, the most urban areas, such as Stavanger, have become strongly secularised since the 1960s and are no longer considered part of the Bible Belt.

Eide Church is a parish church in Grimstad municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Eide. The church is part of the Eide parish in the Vest-Nedenes deanery in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, wooden, cruciform church was built in 1795 and it seats about 250 people. This is the third church to stand on this site.
