Biography

Keifer was born in Pacific Palisades, California. She played the role of Christina "Blake" Marler on Guiding Light from August 1992 until the program ended in September 2009. In addition to her portrayal of Blake, Keifer has also appeared on other soaps, including, The Young and the Restless , One Life to Live , Days of Our Lives , and General Hospital .

Personal life

Married to Robert Convertino since 1996, Keifer is the mother of two children: a daughter, Isabella (born on April 28, 1998) and a son, Keifer (born on January 8, 2000).

Keifer Jerail Sykes is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Windy City Bulls of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. Sykes is featured in the 2018 documentary film Chi-Town, produced and directed by Nick Budabin, following his path from high school to his brush with the NBA.

Matthew C. Keifer is the director of the VA Occupational Health and the Specialty Medicine Service Line at the VA Puget Sound, Seattle, WA. Keifer served as director of the National Farm Medicine Center (NFMC) from 2012 to 2016, and is currently a co-director of the Upper Midwest Agricultural Safety and Health Center, and a project PI within the National Children's Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety. He is an occupational physician and internist who also practiced occupational medicine at the Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisconsin during his time as the director of NFMC. Deborah Smith-Shank is from Middleburg Heights, Ohio. She has been a professor at The Ohio State University since 2010. She is a former chair of the Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy from 2012 to 2016. As of 2011, she has had associate faculty status in the Department of Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. She is an emeritus professor of art at Northern Illinois University. From 2004 to 2010 she was head of the Art Education Division at Northern Illinois University. While there, she was also a professor of art and education from 2003 to 2010. From 2007 to 2011 she was the faculty associate of LGBT studies, and the faculty associate of women's studies from 1994 to 2007. Smith-Shank is the associate editor of International Journal of Semiotics and Visual Rhetoric.
