The 2004 Summer Paralympics, officially known as the Games of the XII Paralympics, were a international summer multi-parasport event for athletes with disabilities governed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) held in Athens, Greece from 17 to 28 September 2004. Greece hosted a Paralympic Games for the first time, and it was also the 12th Paralympic Games in history. A total of 3,806 athletes representing 136 National Paralympic Committees (NPC) participated, and 17 NPCs made their Paralympic debuts in Athens. The Games featured 519 events in 19 sports across 20 disciplines, including the Paralympic debut of football 5-a-side.
Ernst Olov Bolldén was a Swedish wheelchair table tennis player. He represented Sweden at every Summer Paralympics from 1988 to 2004 and won medals for para table tennis. He was on the gold-winning Swedish team at the 1996 Atlanta Paralympics and won a bronze in men's singles at that same Games. He won another bronze in the men's team event at the 2000 Sydney Paralympics.
Natalia Dorota Partyka is a Polish para table tennis player. Born without a right hand and forearm, she participates in competitions for able-bodied athletes as well as in competitions for athletes with disabilities. Partyka reached the last 32 of the London 2012 Olympic women's table tennis.
India first participated in the 1968 Summer Paralympics. The nation has appeared in every edition of the Summer Paralympics since 1984. The Paris 2024 Games marked India's 13th appearance at the Paralympics. The country has never participated in the Winter Paralympic Games.
Australia has participated officially in every Paralympic Games since its inauguration in 1960 with the exception of the 1976 Winter Paralympics.
Lisa Daniela "Danni" Di Toro is an Australian wheelchair tennis and para table tennis player. Di Toro was the 2010 French Open doubles champion and has also been the Masters double champion. In singles, Di Toro is the former world number one and two time masters finalist. In 2015, she moved to para-table tennis and represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, where she was team captain with Kurt Fearnley. At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, her seventh Paralympics, she was the team captain and Opening Ceremony flag bearer with Ryley Batt. She competed at her eight Paralympics in Paris.
Kelly van Zon is a Dutch table tennis player competing in both disabled and able-bodied competitions. She currently plays for Dutch club TTV SKF in Veenendaal. She competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, in Women's individual class 7, winning a gold medal, and in Women's team class 6–8, winning a silver medal.
Melissa Tapper is an Australian table tennis player. After competing at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, she represented Australia at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in elite non-Paralympic competition. In March 2016, she became the first Australian athlete to qualify for both the Summer Olympics and Summer Paralympics.
William John Bayley is a British professional Paralympic table tennis player, ranked world number 1. He is the 2016 Summer Paralympics Games gold medallist and the 2014 World Champion.
Andrew David Lapthorne is a British wheelchair tennis player. He took up wheelchair tennis in 2005, and entered the quad division in 2008. He is active in both singles and doubles tournaments, and has 17 grand slam titles in singles and doubles. He competed at his first Summer Paralympics at London 2012 in the quad singles and in the quad doubles, in which he won a silver medal and is now a four-time Paralympic medallist and British no.1 Quad tennis player, who started playing wheelchair tennis at the age of 10.
James Rawson was a British para table tennis player who competed at every Summer Paralympic Games between 1984 and 2008, winning five medals. He has also competed at World Championships in Assen 1990, Taipei 2002 where he won team silver with Neil Robinson and individual bronze defeating Guertler from Germany.
The Netherlands competed at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 September to 18 September 2016. The first places the team qualified were for four athletes in equestrian team dressage. In September 2015, a representative from the country attended the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games Chef de Mission seminar as part of the country's preparation efforts for the 2016 Games.
Sweden is competed at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 September to 18 September 2016. They won ten medals; one gold, four silver and five bronze.
Samuel Von Einem is an Australian Paralympic table tennis player. Von Einem has represented Australia in table tennis since 2011. He competed at the 2016 Rio Paralympics and 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, where he won silver medals in the Men's Class 11. At Rio Paralympics, he became Australia's first male table tennis medalist since Terry Biggs won gold in 1984. At the 2024 Paris Paralympics, he won a bronze medal.
Josephine Rebeta Medina was a Filipino table tennis player. Medina represented the Philippines at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Paralympics.

Linus Karlsson is a Swedish male para table tennis player competing at singles and team events. Karlsson and Emil Andersson won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, playing against the Ukrainian team at the men's team class 6–8 finals.
Khetam Kamal Hasan Abuawad is a Jordanian para table tennis player who has spina bifida and has won two medals at the Summer Paralympics and has been competing for Jordan internationally since 1998. She is currently ranked world number one in singles class 5 and world number six in teams class.
Pernilla Lindberg is a Swedish Paralympic swimmer who competes mainly in freestyle swimming events in international level events. She competed at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, and 2020 Summer Paralympics.
