Abu Dhabi Capital city of the United Arab Emirates

Abu Dhabi is the capital and the second most populous city of the United Arab Emirates, and also capital of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the largest of the UAE's seven emirates. Abu Dhabi lies on a T-shaped island jutting into the Persian Gulf from the central western coast. The city of Abu Dhabi has an estimated population of 1.8 million in 2016.

The United Arab Emirates, sometimes simply called the Emirates, is a country in Western Asia at the southeast end of the Arabian Peninsula on the Persian Gulf, bordering Oman to the east and Saudi Arabia to the south, as well as sharing maritime borders with Qatar to the west and Iran to the north. The sovereign constitutional monarchy is a federation of seven emirates consisting of Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. Their boundaries are complex, with numerous enclaves within the various emirates. Each emirate is governed by a ruler; together, they jointly form the Federal Supreme Council. One of the rulers serves as the President of the United Arab Emirates. In 2013, the UAE's population was 9.2 million, of which 1.4 million are Emirati citizens and 7.8 million are expatriates.

Construction has been stopped since August 2010. The developer Empire Holdings has sent letter to investors to notify them that work will resume in the future, without any further details.

Sky Tower Abu Dhabi is a 292-metre tall skyscraper with 74 floors in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is located on Al Reem Island and includes office and residential space. Construction was completed in 2010 when it was the city's largest building but has been overtaken by The Landmark since, see also Abu Dhabi skyscrapers.

Yas Marina Circuit race track

The Yas Marina Circuit is the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke, and is situated on Yas Island, about 30 minutes from the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi. Yas Marina is the second Formula One track in the Middle East, with the first being in Bahrain. A two-day GP2 Asia Series test was held to officially open the circuit, which was held a week before the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It also hosted the opening event for the Australian V8 Supercars series, the Yas V8 400, in February 2010. Outside motorsport the circuit was used for the final stage of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Tour cycle race in 2015. The circuit has FIA Grade 1 license.

Louvre Abu Dhabi Art Museum in Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is an art and civilization museum, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The museum was inaugurated on 8 November 2017 by French President Emmanuel Macron and United Arab Emirates Vice President Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The museum is part of a thirty-year agreement between the city of Abu Dhabi and the French government. The museum is located on the Saadiyat Island Cultural District. It is approximately 24,000 square metres (260,000 sq ft) in size, with 8,000 square metres (86,000 sq ft) of galleries, making it the largest art museum in the Arabian peninsula. The final cost of the construction is expected to be about €600 million. In addition, US$525 million was paid by Abu Dhabi to be associated with the Louvre name, and an additional US$747 million will be paid in exchange for art loans, special exhibitions and management advice.

World Trade Center Abu Dhabi skyscraper

The World Trade Center Abu Dhabi is a complex of three skyscrapers, one of which is “supertall”, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Construction of these towers was scheduled to end in 2010, though the 2009 financial crisis pushed the project completion date in 2014. The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is a planned art museum, to be located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. On July 8, 2006, the city of Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, announced it had signed an agreement with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation in New York City to build a 30,000-square-metre (320,000 sq ft) Guggenheim Museum on Saadiyat Island. Upon completion, it is planned to be the largest of the Guggenheim museums. Architect Frank Gehry designed the building. Work on the site began in 2011 but was soon suspended. As of 2018, no completion date is available, and construction is still suspended. The museum collection is planned to reflect Islamic and middle-eastern culture.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is an indoor amusement park in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, owned and developed by Miral Asset Management at an expected cost of $1 billion. The park features characters from Warner Bros's franchises, such as Looney Tunes, DC Comics, Hanna-Barbera, and others. The park is located on Yas Island near Ferrari World and Yas Waterpark, and is the third Warner Bros.'s theme park. An adjoining hotel is also being built at the center of Yas Island. The park contains 29 rides, restaurants, attractions, shops and shows.
