Empire State Pullers, known to many of its pullers as ESP, is a truck and tractor pulling sanctioning body. It conducts pulls at circuits throughout New York State. ESP began sanctioning events in the Lucas Oil owned Pro Pulling League in 2007. [1]

Lucas Oil

Lucas Oil Products, Inc. is an American manufacturer and distributor of automotive oil, additives, and lubricants. It was founded by trucker Forrest Lucas and his wife Charlotte in 1989. The company is a medium size manufacturer of lubricants, including engine oils, greases, gear lubes, as well as problem-solving additives and car-care products. It produces and markets approximately 270 formulations in 40 countries. In the U.S., Lucas Oil is sold in more than 30,000 auto parts stores, displaying the most variety of shelf products of any oil company and at truck stops nationwide. Lucas Oil has two major plants in the United States. The original plant is located in Corona, California, which also houses Lucas Oil Corporate Headquarters, Lucas Oil Production Studios, Team Lucas, LucasOilRacingTV and the Lucas owned motorsports network, MAVTV. In 2003 it opened a new production plant in Corydon, Indiana and expanded with an additional, multimillion dollar, 350,000-square-foot facility in 2014.

Classes

At every pull, different classes of tractors pull. Each class includes a different style of tractor or truck chassis. The tractors use 6000 horsepower motors. [2] The different classes include:

Tractor pulling

Truck and tractor pulling, also known as power pulling, is a motorsport competition, popular in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and Brazil, and New Zealand which requires modified tractors to pull a heavy sled along a 35 foot wide, 330 foot long track, with the winner being the tractor that pulls the sled the farthest. The sport is known as the world's most powerful motorsport, due to the multi-engined modified tractor pullers.

Jeff Ward (motorsports) American racing driver

Jeffrey "Jeff" Ward is a British-American former professional motocross racer, auto racing driver and off-road racer. He won the AMA Motocross Championship five times and the AMA Supercross Championship twice and the Motocross des Nations seven times. After retiring from motorcycle competition, Ward turned to auto racing, finishing in second place at the Indianapolis 500 and winning a race at the Texas Motor Speedway. He then competed in off-road truck racing and is currently competing in rallycross racing. Ward was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999 and, was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America on 12 August 2006.

CARS Tour is a stock car auto racing series in the United States. It is sanctioned by the Championship Auto Racing Series. The series races throughout the United States primarily on short tracks.

The Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR) was an American off-road racing series. The series began in 2007 and it ended after the 2008 season.

Jeremy Stenberg American motocross rider

TORC: The Off-Road Championship

TORC: The Off-Road Championship (TORC) is an American national short course off-road racing series. It tours throughout the United States featuring professional four and two-wheel-drive Trophy Trucks along with a Pro Light class. TORC was founded by off-road racing driver Ricky Johnson in 2009. It was known as the Traxxas TORC Series, owing to title sponsor Traxxas, from 2009–2013. It was purchased by The Armory in August 2013. It has been sanctioned and officiated by the United States Auto Club (USAC) since its inception.

The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is a short course off-road racing series in the United States. The series features events on the West Coast of the United States. The title sponsor for the series is Lucas Oil. It effectively replaced the CORR series.

Rick Huseman American racing driver

Rick Huseman was an American race driver from Riverside, California. He raced off-road and his career peaked in the highest level in a four wheel drive short course racing truck. He won the 2009 Traxxas TORC Series (TORC) and 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) championships before dying in an airplane crash in late 2011. He had won 50 races in his career between Pro Light and Pro 4.

Chad Hord American racing driver

Chad Hord is a professional American off-road racing driver from Felch, Michigan. As of 2012, he races a PRO 2 short course truck in the Traxxas TORC Series (TORC).

Cassie Gannis is an American professional stock car racing driver.

The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League is an American professional truck and tractor pulling series sponsored by California-based Lucas Oil featuring Super Modified tractors as well as Pro Modified Four-Wheel Drive trucks, Super Modified two-wheel drive trucks, Pro Stock tractors, and hot rod semi-tractor trucks, among other classes. It bills itself as "...showcasing the most extreme vehicles and the most talented pulling drivers in the world." It has been described as the "premiere pulling series" in the United States.
