Endre Csillag (born October 12, 1957 in Budapest) is a Hungarian rock guitarist. His nickname is Csuka (means northern pike or sneaker).

Hungarian rock has been a part of the popular music of Hungary since the early 1960s. The first major bands were Illés, Metró and Omega. At the time, rock was not approved of by the Hungarian Communist authorities. In the 1970s, the Communists cracked down on rock, and Illés was banned from recording. Some members of the other bands formed a supergroup called Locomotiv GT, while the band Omega became very popular in Germany.

Edda Művek is a Hungarian rock band formed in 1973 initially under the name "Griff". Undergoing a brief name change to Edda, the band finally settled for Edda Művek shortly thereafter. The name "Edda" was inspired by the Prose Edda of Norse Mythology while the word, "Művek" (works), is a symbolic reference to the band originally starting its career in the industrial city of Miskolc, also dubbed as the "Steel City". According to frontman, Attila Pataky, "Művek" has also come to represent the band's "labor intensive" work ethic and prolific approach to songwriting, recording and touring.

District XVII of Budapest is a suburban district of Budapest on the left bank of the Danube, in the eastern part of the capital. It is Budapest's largest district, with an area of 54.82 km2, and home to nearly 90,000 people, making it the seventh most populous district of Budapest. Towns that were different in nature, but closely connected, were annexed to the capital in 1950 as part of the Greater Budapest plan. It is one of the most beautifully located districts of Pest, which is partly located as high as the 235 meters Gellért Hill. The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences is a university of technology in Hungary. Tibor Frank was a Hungarian historian who was professor of history at the School of English and American Studies of the Faculty of Humanities of the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). He was director of its School of English and American Studies. From 2013 he was corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA), as of 2019 he was a full member.

The Lipótváros Synagogue was a planned but never realized monumental Budapest synagogue, which would have been built at the beginning of the 20th century and would have been a faithful reflection of the growing and enriching Jewry of Budapest with a capacity of 3,800 people. In the end, the building was not completed due to financial difficulties, its existence is only told by contemporary blueprints and newspaper articles.

Irigy Hónaljmirigy are a Hungarian comedy/parody band, known around Hungary for their parodies of popular songs from both the country and abroad, as well as celebrities and TV shows. They had their own TV show, Irigy Hónaljmirigy Show, which ran on TV2 from 2000 until 2010. On their demos and their first album, they mostly parodied Hungarian rock songs, from their second album and onwards they started parodying the popular music scene in general. Since 2004, the band's albums are released by Hungarian major record label CLS Music.
