Engelbert Henryk Szolc (born 26 April 1943) is a Polish former handball player who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics.
He was born in Ruda Śląska.
In 1972 he was part of the Polish team which finished tenth in the Olympic tournament. He played all five matches and scored eleven goals.

Baltic beaches and resorts are popular locations for fishing, canoeing, kayaking and a broad-range of other water-themed sports.
Kazimierz Deyna was a Polish professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder in the playmaker role and was one of the most highly regarded players of his generation, due to his excellent vision.
Grzegorz Bolesław Lato is a Polish former professional football player and manager who played as a winger. He was a member of Poland's golden generation of football players who rose to fame in the 1970s and early 80s. Over a decade, he represented Poland at five major tournaments starting with gold at the 1972 Summer Olympic Games in Munich and ending with a third-place finish at the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain. He reached the peak of his career at the 1974 World Cup, where he was the leading scorer and the only Pole to-date to have won the honor. After retiring from his playing career he had a brief stint as manager in several clubs in and out of Poland.
Włodzimierz 'Włodek' Leonard Lubański is a former Polish football striker, the second all-time highest goal scorer for the Poland national team. For his national team, Lubański amassed 75 caps between 1963 and 1980, scoring 48 goals and being the second highest goalscorer in Poland's football history behind Robert Lewandowski.
Jacek Wojciech Gmoch is a former Polish footballer, who later became a trainer and manager of the Poland National Team.
Lesław Ćmikiewicz is a retired Polish football player and manager. He played for Polish clubs including Śląsk Wrocław and Legia Warsaw. He also played for the New York Arrows and Chicago Horizon in the Major Indoor Soccer League.
Michał Teodor Joachimowski was a triple jumper from Poland. He won three medals at the European Indoor Championships.
Zbigniew Pacelt was a Polish sportsman, Olympian, coach, sport official, and politician. He competed as a swimmer at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics, and as a modern pentathlete at the 1976 Summer Olympics.
Kazimierz Kmiecik is a Polish former international football player who played most of his career for Wisła Kraków, where he played 304 league matches and scored 153 goals. This makes him the best goalscorer in history of the club. He also played for AEL and won the first Greek cup for the history of the team, in 1985. He is today a legend in Larissa and remains a fan favourite.
Jan Werner was a Polish sprinter who specialized in the 200 and 400 metres.
Antoni Jan Szymanowski is a former Polish football right-back, and a member of the Poland national football team in two FIFA World Cups: 1974 and 1978. During those tournaments his club was Wisła Kraków. Szymanowski was one of the best defenders in Poland during the golden era of Polish football. In the later years of his career he played for the Belgian team Club Brugge KV. Currently he is a manager of Przebój Wolbrom - the club playing in Polish IV Liga. He has also a brother who was a footballer as well.
Hubert Jerzy Kostka is a retired Polish football goalkeeper. Kostka participated in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, where Poland won the men's football tournament. Kostka is not only a successful player, he also was a manager and graduated as a mining engineer from the Silesian Polytechnic in Gliwice.
Zygmunt Antoni Smalcerz is a retired Polish weightlifter who won the gold medal in the flyweight class at the 1972 Olympics. He also competed at the 1976 Games but had to withdraw due to injury.
Witold Woyda was a Polish fencer who won four Olympic medals in the foil between 1964 and 1972, including two gold medals at the 1972 Summer Olympics. He was named the Polish Sportspersonality of the Year for 1972 by readers of Przegląd Sportowy. Born in Poznań, he immigrated to the United States in the late 1970s, settling in Bronxville, New York, and worked for an Italian packaging company. He had lung cancer for two years prior to his death at his Bronxville home at age 68, five days shy of turning 69.
Janusz Gerard Pyciak-Peciak is a Polish modern pentathlete, Olympic champion and several times world champion.
Kazimierz Lipień was a featherweight Greco-Roman wrestler from Poland. He competed at the 1972, 1976 and 1980 Olympics and placed third, first and sixth, respectively. Between 1971 and 1979 he collected 12 medals at the world and European championships, including five gold medals. His twin brother Józef was also an Olympic Greco-Roman wrestler.
Marek Roman Dąbrowski is a retired Polish foil fencer. He competed at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics and won a team gold medal in 1972, placing sixth individually. Between 1969 and 1974 he won six medals at the world championships.
Stanisław Kazimierz Gościniak is a Polish former volleyball player and coach, a member of the Poland national team from 1965 to 1974 and the 1974 World Champion. He was a participant in the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics. Gościniak was inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2005.
Mieczysław Edwin Łopatka is a Polish former professional basketball player and coach. At a height of 1.96 m (6'5") tall, and a weight of 96 kg (212 lbs.), he played at the small forward position.
Jerzy Broniec is a Polish former rower. He competed at the 1968 Summer Olympics, 1972 Summer Olympics and the 1976 Summer Olympics.
