The 1968 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XIX Olympiad and commonly known as Mexico 1968, were an international multi-sport event held from 12 to 27 October 1968 in Mexico City, Mexico. These were the first Olympic Games to be staged in Latin America and the first to be staged in a Spanish-speaking country. They were also the first Games to use an all-weather (smooth) track for track and field events instead of the traditional cinder track, as well as the first example of the Olympics exclusively using electronic timekeeping equipment.
Karen Lynne Moras, also known by her married name Karen Stephenson, is an Australian distance freestyle swimmer of the 1960s and 1970s who won a bronze medal in the 400-metre freestyle at the 1968 Summer Olympics. Although she set multiple world records she peaked between Olympics and was unable to capture gold at Olympic level.

The 10th Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Teatro del Arte of Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico on September 5, 2003. Thirty-eight contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Rosalva Luna from Sinaloa, who later competed in Miss Universe 2004 in Ecuador where she was a Semifinalist in the Top 15. Luna was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Marisol González. She was the first Sinaloense to win this Title.
Eloise Michelle Amberger is an Australian synchronized swimmer. Amberger made her international debut for Australia's National Junior Team in 2002 at the World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships in Montreal, and joined Australia's National Team two years later in 2004. Amberger is a dual Olympian, having competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and is a Commonwealth Games bronze medalist, having claimed third place overall in the duet event with Sarah Bombell at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
Christine Jennifer Peng-Peng Lee is a retired Canadian artistic gymnast. She was a member of the Canadian team that qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics, though a knee injury prevented her from competing in the Games. She attended UCLA and led the gymnastics team to the 2018 NCAA National Championship. Lee prefers to use her Chinese name Peng Peng when doing gymnastics, saying it makes her feel like "someone completely different."

Abel Ramírez Águilar was a Mexican sculptor who won many prizes not only for traditional pieces in wood, stone and metal, but also for ice and snow sculptures in the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe. He was trained as a sculptor in Mexico and the Netherlands and has exhibited his work individually and collectively since the 1960s. He discovered snow and ice sculpting while visiting Quebec in the 1980s, first experiencing snow in his forties. The challenge intrigued him and he began sculpting this medium as an amateur. He began sculpting ice and snow professionally when he was entered in the competition associated with the 1992 Winter Olympic Games without his knowledge. Having practiced beforehand at an ice factory in Mexico City, he won the gold medal for this event, leading to invitations to other competitions for over twenty years. Ramírez lived in Mexico City.
Damaris Gabriela Aguirre Aldaz is a Mexican former weightlifter. She won a silver medal for the 75 kg class at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a total of 240 kilograms.
Galyna Volodymyrivna "Galia" Dvorak Khasanova is a Spanish table tennis player. She was born in Kyiv, but her family moved to Spain when she was two. Both of her parents were also international table tennis players. She won a bronze medal in the women's team event at the 2009 Mediterranean Games in Pescara, Italy. As of May 2019, Dvorak is ranked no. 94 in the world by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Dvorak is a member of the table tennis team for CN Mataró, and is coached and trained by Peter Engel, Linus Mernsten, and her mother Flora Khasanova. She is also right-handed, and uses the classic grip.
Kelsey-Lee Barber is an Australian track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw. She won gold at the 2019 World Championships, and her personal best of 67.70 m ranks her 13th in the overall list.
Ana María Ramírez is a Peruvian former volleyball player. Ramírez competed with the Peruvian women's national volleyball team at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. She won silver medals with the national team at the 1967 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, the 1971 Pan American Games in Cali, and the 1975 Pan American Games in Mexico City.
Alejandra Ramírez Caballero is a Mexican sports shooter. She competed in the women's trap event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She won the bronze medal at 2019 Pan Am Games and became the first ever Mexican female trap shooter who earned a spot at the Olympics. She also won the gold medal at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games.
