Estadio Rubén Guifarro is a multi-purpose stadium in Catacamas, Honduras. It is currently used mostly for football matches and it was home for Atlético Olanchano from 2001 until 2016. The stadium holds 5,000 people. The stadium was renovated for the 2007–08 season. Some of the works included changing the grass turf and increasing the capacity of the stadium. The stadium is also occasionally used by C.D. Motagua as an alternate venue. [1]

The 1976–77 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 11th edition of the Honduran Liga Nacional. The format of the tournament remained the same as the previous season. C.D. España won the title after defeating C.D. Motagua in the finals. Both teams qualified to the 1977 CONCACAF Champions' Cup.

The 2016–17 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 51st Honduran Liga Nacional edition since its establishment in 1965. For this season, the system format stayed the same as the previous season. The tournament began in July 2016 and ended in May 2017.

2017 Honduran Supercup

The 2017 Honduran Supercup was a match arranged by the Honduran Liga Nacional and the Honduran Cup which took place on 2 August 2017 between C.D. Marathón, winners of the 2017 Honduran Cup and F.C. Motagua, overall winners of the 2016–17 Liga Nacional season. This was the first official edition of the Honduran Supercup and the 5th overall.
