Austin "Jack" Warner is a Trinidadian and Tobagonian politician, businessman, and former football executive. Warner was Vice President of FIFA and President of CONCACAF until his suspension and eventual resignation from these roles in 2011. He is also the former Minister of National Security of Trinidad and Tobago and was an elected member of the country's parliament from 2007 to 2015. He's a former history teacher and was the owner of Joe Public F.C., a professional football club in Tunapuna, Trinidad and Tobago.

More than eighty years later, while the machinery may have changed to pumps and metal trucks, The Union's core membership remains the same. The members continue to be the vital Workers on the ground, the bedrock and lifeblood of our capital city and our nation: the sanitation support Workers of the Port of Spain Corporation; the Clerks and Cleaners in downtown malls of East Side Plaza and New City Mall; the factory Workers at the internationally recognized Bermudez Biscuit Company; the Funeral Attendants and Drivers at Belgroves Funeral Home; the Cooks and Counter-staff of local fast-food giant, Royal Castle Limited; and many others. AWU is one of the first trade unions in our nation.
The Communication Workers Union is a trade union in Trinidad and Tobago which has the bulk of its members in the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT). The Union has Recognised Majority (RMU) status at TSTT, Hilton Trinidad, Caribbean Lifts, RBP Lifts and Massy Communications. According to the union's constitution financial members may vote for and elect a board of eleven members to oversee the Union's business for a term. A term last three years and the last elections took place in 2017. Of the eleven elected executive board members, two are full time officers. The executive board members positions are as follows: Secretary General, President, Deputy Secretary General, Vice President, Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer, Research Officer, Education Officer and Trustee.

Gary Griffith is a former commissioner of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, having served a term in office for the period 18 August 2018 to 17 August 2021 Under the previous government, led by a coalition including the party currently in Opposition, he had been appointed as Minister of National Security in Trinidad and Tobago on Friday 6 September 2013. Between May 2010 and September 2013, he had served as National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister. Griffith was a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force for 15 years, where he attained the rank of captain in 1998. He retired his Commissioned Officer position in May 2005. This attainment to the rank of captain was achieved after just six years service, which was an unprecedented achievement. He was the first military officer from this country to return home with a United Nations Peacekeeping Medal. He has also received the Efficiency decoration medal [EDM] for 12 years distinguished service as well as the Meritorious medal for duties performed during the 1990 attempted coup in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Tobago Council of the People's National Movement (PNM), also known as the Tobago Council of the PNM, PNM Tobago or PNM Tobago Council is the longest-serving and oldest active political party in Tobago. The party is the autonomous branch of the Trinidad and Tobago People's National Movement operating in Tobago. While its political leader acts in the local capacity, they also serve as a deputy leader on a national level. The party's executives organize for both local and national election campaigns. There have been three PNM Chief Secretaries and administrations.
Aldwin Gerard Francis was a doctor, sportsman, and sports administrator from Trinidad and Tobago. He was awarded the Trinidad and Tobago Chaconia Medal (Gold) for Medicine and Public Service in 1971, and inducted into the St. Mary’s College Hall of Fame in 1999.
House of Assembly elections were held in Tobago on 6 December 2021, to elect all 15 members of the Tobago House of Assembly. The election was called following a deadlock created by the January 2021 elections which resulted in a tie between the People's National Movement (PNM) and the Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP), with both parties winning six seats. As a result, the number of seats in the legislature was increased from 12 to 15 to avoid potential ties in the future.
