Eternia (born May 13, 1980) [1] is a Canadian rapper who has released several albums of hip-hop music.
Eternia was born Silk-Anne Semiramis Dawn Craig Kaya [2] in Ottawa, Ontario. [3] Growing up in a musical family, she learned to play piano, flute and classical guitar. She left home and dropped out of high school at age 15. After travelling around and becoming involved with the hip-hop scene, she returned to complete high school and then enrolled in a journalism course in Toronto. [1]
Eternia released her first full-length album, It's Called Life in 2005. [4] It was subsequently nominated for Best Rap Recording of the Year at the 2006 Juno Awards. [5] [6] She has performed on the Van's Warped Tour, as well as at SXSW and NXNE.
Her 2010 album At Last (Fat Beats Records), a collaboration with producer MoSS, was named as a longlisted nominee for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize. [7] At Last also brought Eternia her second Juno Award nomination for Rap Recording of the Year in 2011. [2] Eternia and MoSS released a single, "Day and Night", in 2016; [8] that year she also released the solo single "Keep U". [9] [10]
In 2013 Eternia performed on the track "Love Means", part of Shad's album Flying Colours. [11]

Snotty Nose Rez Kids are a First Nations hip hop duo composed of Haisla rappers Darren "Young D" Metz and Quinton "Yung Trybez" Nyce. They are originally from Kitamaat Village, British Columbia. Their 2017 album The Average Savage was shortlisted for the 2018 Polaris Music Prize, and for the Juno Award for Indigenous Music Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2019. In 2018, the duo received nominations for Best Hip Hop Album at the Indigenous Music Awards, and for Indigenous Artist of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards. Their third album TRAPLINE was released on May 10, 2019 and was later shortlisted for the 2019 Polaris Music Prize. Production was entirely handled by MoSS. It features guest appearances from Jessica Kaya, Joell Ortiz, Maestro Fresh Wes, Rah Digga, Reef the Lost Cauze, Termanology, The Lady of Rage and Tona.
