Excel Entertainment has formed a joint venture with the Dubai-based Riva Group to form Excel Media. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] Excel Entertainment is an Indian film studio based in Mumbai. It was created by Farhan Akhtar, and Ritesh Sidhwani in 1999. The two have gone on to create several films under Excel's banner. Riva Games was founded by Paul Roy, the founder and Chairman of The Riva Group of Companies. Established in 2002, The Riva Group of Companies now has a geographic presence that spans across the Middle East, The United States and Far East Asia. The Group has business interests in Media, Technology, Leisure and Entertainment.

Excel Entertainment is an Indian film production and distribution company, founded by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar in 1999. Based in Mumbai, Excel Entertainment produces and distributes Hindi films, and has branched out into web series.

Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Riva Group Chairman Paul Roy have collaborated to form Excel Media, a company dedicated to the creation of world-class original and mature content across multiple platforms from television and web to gaming. Excel Entertainment’s existing media library will also be exploited across various digital media.

Fukrey Rooftop Runner Based on this summer’s light comedy and sleeper hit, Fukrey: Rooftop Runner is an action/adventure game that depicts the misadventures of four slackers (“Fukrey”) willing to get their hands on big money to achieve their dreams. Keeping the irreverent and quirky tone of the movie, the objective as a player is to collect as many Rupex as possible.

Fukrey is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language comedy film, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, and starring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadda, Vishakha Singh, and Priya Anand. The story and dialogues are written by Vipul Vig and the screenplay is written by Vig and Lamba. Produced under the Excel Entertainment banner, the film was released on 14 June 2013. Despite a poor opening, the film went on to become a sleeper hit.
