FC Khimvolokno Grodno was a Belarusian football club based in Grodno. The word 'Khimvolokno' means 'Synthetic Fibres' (literally 'chemical fibres'), and refers to the local Nylon 6 manufacturing plant.

Grodno, or Hrodna is a city in western Belarus. It is located on the Neman close to the borders of Poland and Lithuania. It has 365,610 inhabitants. It is the capital of Grodno Region and Grodno District.

History

The team was playing in Belarusian SSR league from 1979 to 1991 and in Belarusian First League from 1992 till 1995. In late 1995 Khimvolokno Grodno was disbanded.

The Belarusian First League is the second division of professional football in Belarus. It was created in 1992, following the Belarusian independence.
