    The Chernyakhov culture or Sântana de Mureș—Chernyakhov culture was an archaeological culture that flourished between the 2nd and 5th centuries CE in a wide area of Eastern Europe, specifically in what is now Ukraine, Romania, Moldova and parts of Belarus.     Cherniakhiv Raion was a raion (district) of Zhytomyr Oblast, northern Ukraine. Its administrative centre was located at Cherniakhiv. The raion covered an area of 850 square kilometres (330 sq mi). The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Zhytomyr Oblast to four.
