FEI World Cup Jumping 2011/2012

The FEI World Cup Jumping 2011/2012 is the 34th edition of the premier international show jumping competition run by the FEI. The final is held at the 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands from April 18, 2012 to April 22, 2012. Christian Ahlmann of Germany is the defending champion, having won the final the previous year (2010/11) in Leipzig, Germany.

Contents

First time ever a Chinese League is held. In the Japan League the horse show in Minamisōma was replaced by a horse show in Mito as a result of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster.

Andres Rodríguez was a Venezuelan businessman and an international show jumping competitor. He travelled between Caracas, Paris, and Florida. Rodriguez trained with rider and coach Eddie Macken. His achievements included the team silver medal at the 2005 Bolivarian Games, the team bronze medal at the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games, an individual silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games of Toronto, and subsequent qualification to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Rodriguez entered the world top 50 for the first time in August 2015, and the subsequent series of results enabled him to be world no. 42 in the Longines rankings of October 2015 and no. 2 in the Latin America rankings.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mylord Carthago (show jumping horse)</span> Show jumping horse from France

Mylord Carthago is a gray Selle Français stallion and show jumping champion. Descended from Almé Z and sired by the Holsteiner stallion Carthago, his potential was recognized very early on. At the age of seven, he was entrusted to Norman rider Pénélope Leprévost, who trained him and made him her lead horse. The pair went on to win European and World show jumping runner-up titles in 2010 and 2012. Combining sport with his breeding career, Mylord is also one of France's last national stallions. The threat of his sale after the 2014 World Equestrian Games has led to a number of negative reactions, both from the show jumping public and from political figures.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Otello du Soleil</span> Named French sport horse

Otello du Soleil was a bay-colored sport horse registered in the Selle Français studbook, who has been ridden mainly by Swiss show jumper Romain Duguet. He was a son of Alligator Fontaine and a daughter of Papillon Rouge.
