The Fife and Tayside Metropolitan Area Network is one of the regional networks that comprise JANET. FaTMAN connects three universities (University of Dundee, University of St Andrews and University of Abertay Dundee) and two colleges (Dundee and Angus College and Fife College) to each other and to the Janet backbone in the east of Scotland. There is also an UoD Fife campus node. The University of Dundee is the Regional Network Operator.
The FaTMAN POPs were replaced by Janet managed POPs in mid 2010.

Newport-on-Tay is a small town in the north-east of Fife in Scotland, acting as a commuter suburb for Dundee. The Fife Coastal Path passes through Newport-on-Tay. The area itself is surrounded by views of the two bridges that cross the River Tay and distant views of the Scottish Highlands.

The Abertay Historical Society (AHS) is a historical society based in Dundee, Scotland. It aims to promote interest in history, with a special focus on the history of Perthshire, Angus and Fife. The AHS runs a regular programme of public lectures on historical topics and also organises special events. The Society also publishes books, usually producing at least one publication per year.
Dundee Synagogue in Dundee, Scotland was the place of worship of the Tayside and Fife Jewish Community, which was established in 1878 under its former name of the Dundee Hebrew Congregation. The synagogue building, designed by Ian Imlach, was located on St Mary Place. It was opened in 1978 to replace the former synagogue building at 15 Meadow Street that was demolished in 1973.

The Tayside Junior Football League, originally called the Midlands League, was a football league competition operated in Tayside under the Scottish Junior Football Association which operated as the top league in the territory from 1969 until a merger in 2002; it existed for a further four years as a second-tier league before the name was discontinued in 2006.
The Midlands Football League is a junior football league based in the Tayside area of Scotland. The league sits at level 6 on the Scottish football league system, acting as a feeder to the Highland Football League.
