Faith Healer is a Canadian indie rock band from Edmonton, Alberta, whose core member is singer and songwriter Jessica Jalbert. [1] Another long-time member is singer-songwriter, producer and recording engineer Renny Wilson.
Jalbert first collaborated with Wilson on her solo debut album Brother Loyola in 2011, [2] before deciding to adopt the band name Faith Healer as she did not want her music to be pigeonholed as singer-songwriter pop. [3]
The band's debut album Cosmic Troubles was released March 31, 2015 on Mint Records. [2] The album was met with positive reviews from Pitchfork [4] and Exclaim! . [5] Wilson played several instruments on the album and created a number of the arrangements. [6]
Jalbert and Wilson recorded their second album, Try ;-), in Montreal. It was released in September 2017. [7] [8] The pair added Jenni Roberts and Mitch Holtby to create a complete band; the group performed at the 2017 Pop Montreal Festival. [9] The album was longlisted for the 2018 Polaris Music Prize. [10] Additional band members include Ross Faulder and Connor Donaldson.
Mint Records is a Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-based independent record label founded in 1991, by friends and campus radio enthusiasts Randy Iwata and Bill Baker. Mint has put out over 150 releases, several of which have won Juno Awards.

The Rural Alberta Advantage is a Canadian indie rock band that formed in 2005 in Toronto, Ontario. The band consists of Nils Edenloff on lead vocals and guitar, Amy Cole on keyboards, bass, and backing vocals, and Paul Banwatt on drums. They have released four albums and are signed to Paper Bag Records in Canada and Saddle Creek Records internationally. In 2011, they were nominated for a Polaris Music Prize.
Doug Hoyer is a Canadian musician originally from Edmonton and currently based in Chicago. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Edmonton-based music collective OLD UGLY Recording Co. Active since 2003, Hoyer began as a cast member of the reality show Rock Camp, which aired on CBC Television in 2004 and featured Joel Plaskett with various guests. Hoyer has released ten solo recordings and performed on several other releases by artists such as Born Gold and Jessica Jalbert.
Renny Wilson is a Canadian pop singer-songwriter, record producer, recording engineer, and director. He has recorded as a solo artist, performed as a member of The Subatomics, and as a member of other bands such as Michael Rault, Faith Healer and Brazilian Money.
PUP is a Canadian punk rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario in 2010, originally under the name Topanga. PUP's self-titled debut album was released on October 8, 2013, on Royal Mountain Records. In December 2013, PUP signed with SideOneDummy Records and re-released their debut album in the United States on April 8, 2014. The group was in the studio in late 2015 recording their second album The Dream Is Over which was released on May 27, 2016, through SideOneDummy. The band's third album, titled Morbid Stuff, was released on April 5, 2019. This Place Sucks Ass, a six-track EP, was released on October 27, 2020. Their fourth album, The Unraveling of PUPTheBand, was released on April 1, 2022.

Tim Presley is an American musician, singer and songwriter. Presley began his career playing with the hardcore punk bands Model American and The Nerve Agents. In 2004, Presley founded the psychedelic rock band Darker My Love. In 2006 he joined The Fall, playing on the LP Reformation Post TLC, and was an occasional guest musician on the band's later albums. Since 2010, Presley has released music under the name White Fence. As of January 2019, he has released seven studio albums, two live albums, and two collaborative albums with Ty Segall under that name, as well as two albums with Cate Le Bon under the name DRINKS, an experimental solo album under the name W-X, and a solo album, THE WiNK, under his own name.
Cult Leader is an American hardcore punk band that formed in 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was founded by three members of Gaza following the band's break-up. Cult Leader signed to Jacob Bannon's record label Deathwish Inc. and have released two studio albums, Lightless Walk (2015) and A Patient Man (2018), as well two EPs through the label, showcasing a brutal sound with prominent elements of extreme metal.
Girlpool was an indie rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed by friends Avery Tucker and Harmony Tividad. Their debut self-titled EP Girlpool was released on Bandcamp in 2014 and re-released on Wichita Recordings later that year. They released their debut album Before the World Was Big in 2015, followed by Powerplant (2017) and What Chaos Is Imaginary (2019). Their fourth and final studio album, Forgiveness (2022), was released on April 29. In August 2022, the duo announced that they will be taking an indefinite break from the band.
