Fatmir Agalliu was an Albanian writer and linguist known for his analyses of the Albanian language. [1]

Life and career

Agalliu was born in the village of Fier, Albania, on 19 June 1933. His grandfather took an active part as a leader in the Vlora War in 1920. Agalliu's mother was mentioned for her patriotism. Agalliu was self-taught in 7 languages, including Russian, Italian, Spanish, Romanian, French, and English.

In 1988, Agaulliu received a Master of Science and received the title of Docent in 1992. In 1995, he became a Doctor of Sciences, four years before he was awarded his PhD from the University of Cambridge.
