2015 Southeast Asian Games 28th Southeast Asian Games

The 2015 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 28th Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event hosted by the city-state of Singapore. It was the fourth time the country hosted the games. Singapore previously also hosted the games in 1973, 1983 and 1993 edition.

Nontapat Panchan is a Thai foil fencer. Panchan had won nine medals - 5 Golds and 1 Silver in Individual Men's Foil, 2 Golds, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze in the Men's Team Foil event Southeast Asian Games 2001 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2003 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, 2005 in Manila, Philippines, 2007 in Bangkok, Thailand, 2011 in Palembang, Indonesia, and 2015 in Singapore. He is also a two-time NCAA champion. Nontapat graduated with an Economics Degree from Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania, under a full scholarship grant.

Singapore participated in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September 2018. It was Singapore's 18th appearance at the Asian Games, having competed at every Games since 1951, and claimed 8 gold, 7 silver, and 12 bronze medals at the 2006 Doha, as their best achievement this far. At the last edition of 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, the country won five gold, 6 silver, and 13 bronze medals.

Poh Lip Meng Singaporean sport shooter (1969–2021)

Poh Lip Meng was a Singaporean sport shooter who won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in the 25 m standard pistol pairs event and at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in the 50 m free pistol team event.
