Ferdinand Xhaferraj is an Albanian politician. He was the Minister of Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Youth and Sports of that country, serving since 2009, and is a member of the Democratic Party of Albania. [1] [2] [3]

Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës, also Aleksandër Moisiu University or University of Durrës, is the newest public academic institution of the Republic of Albania. The University is located in the ancient city of Durrës. The university was founded on 20 December 2005 by the Albanian Government. It was inaugurated in 2006 and is using the American system of education, unlike the rest of the public universities in the country. More than 1,300 students started classes as of October 2, 2006. University of Durrës took its name from Austrian-Italian actor Aleksandër Moisiu, who was of Albanian descent. The rector is Kseanela Sotirofski.

Durrës–Tiranë railway

The Durrës–Tiranë railway was a 38 km railway line which joined the two biggest cities in Albania: Durrës and Tirana. The line connects to the Shkodër–Vorë railway halfway in Vorë, and to the Durrës-Vlorë railway in Durrës. As of September 2013, the line became defunct as the Tirana Station is being dismantled to make way for the lengthening of the Tirana main boulevard. As a result, the Tirana station was moved to Vore in 2013 and later to renovated Kashar station in May 2015. The current Kashar-Tiranë line was replaced with a bus service. The original line was built during 1948-1949 based exclusively on work of volunteers and was the second passenger railway in Albania after the Durrës-Peqin railway which had been completed a year earlier. It is operated by Hekurudha Shqiptare.

Beach of Durrës

The Beach of Durrës is the biggest and most visited beach in Albania. It lines the seafront of the city of Durrës and is about 10.5 kilometres (6.5 mi) long. A number of notable Hotels overlook the beach such as the Adriatik Hotel.

International Gendarmerie police force of the Principality of Albania (1913-1914)

The International Gendarmerie was the first law enforcement agency of the Principality of Albania. It was established by the decision of the ambassadors of the six Great Powers that participated in the London Peace Conference. This decision was made on the basis of the London Treaty signed on May 30, 1913. Since most of the members were from the Netherlands, this force was also known as the Dutch Military Mission.

Lapraka Airfield airport in Albania

The Lapraka Airfield or Tirana Aerodrome was an airfield located in Tirana, Albania. It is the former airport of Albania's capital. It used to house an air force regiment with Y-5s, operating from the old runway, and later, from the grass runway. Currently, Lapraka only houses the helicopters of the Albanian government. The airfield is located in the north western part of Tirana, although it is hardly recognizable as such. From the town center, take the Rruga Durresi towards Durres.

Tirana Logistic Park

Tirana Logistic Park (TLP) offers logistic services in Albania. Tirana Logistic Park is a project of 3 "Class A" warehouses and industrial premises in the biggest industrial area of Albania, along the Tirana-Durrës highway. It is the first logistic park in Albania intended to help this country to attract more foreign investment. With its 80,000 square metres (860,000 sq ft) of buildings on 200,000 square metres (2,200,000 sq ft) of land, TLP is the first logistic and industrial Park in Albania, able to meet European standards in storage and manufacturing that combine different logistic modes and solutions. It is one of the most important investments in Albania and one of the biggest logistic parks in South East Europe. This logistic park was open on October this year. The design and the construction of this park created a lot of buzz because it involved students from the Faculty of Architecture. The construction company wanted to share the experience with the students, since it is the first time that this kind of construction in Albania.

Ilir Hoti was an Albanian economist and banker. Hoti was governor of the Bank of Albania from May 1992 until September 1993. From 2012 to January 2015 he was Dean of Faculty of Business at Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës.
