According to Outpost Zeta, "There are many disjointed story elements that never amount to anything, a random karate stunt, a belly dancing scene that comes out of nowhere, a bit of drama as Aunt Rita is hospitalized. This disjointedness is really the most notable thing about what is an otherwise formulaic kid's movie." [3]
In RedLetterMedia's review (Half in the bag 23), Mike Stoklasa called the film "a trully awful film" directed by "a brain dead hippie" with a dog that "looks like a rat", and called Andy Weiss an "ugly kid" but praised young actress Geneve Rupert, referring to her as a "smokin' hot latina"
