Forward Model School is a private high school in Peshawar. The school was founded by Prof Muhammad Shafi Sabir. [1]

The school has many branches throughout the city of Peshawar. The first one was built in the main part of Peshawar near Asmai Gate. The school has been educating the youth of Peshawar since 1950. There have now been more than 1500 students. The Forward model school is for boys; the affiliated counterpart for girls is the Forward Public School.

The school covers the years from up to matric.

The main school is in the heart of Hayatabad, and is a three floor building; the teachers are both male and female.

XI Corps (Pakistan)

The XI Corps is a corps of Pakistan Army. The XI Corps is the only one corps that is assigned in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan. It is currently stationed in Peshawar, Khyber-Pakhtaunkhuwa. The Corps was established and quickly raised in 1975 to support administrative military operational units in the NWFP and Northern Areas. The corps is internationally distinguished for its involvement in Soviet–Afghan War.

Mandarh is a branch of yousaf zai tribe, firstly the mandarh sub tribe settled here, and the village was named after them, Mandarhi or Mandani. But some old people of the area say that before the irrigation system, this place was barren and the farmers of this village would get a yield of Darhai( 5 kg) while sowing a Mound( 50 kg) so this village was called MANDARHI and later on MANDANI. Early settlers and Demography: In the beginning a few tribes of Yousafzai,s and Mohmands were arrived and started developing the arid non agricultural land. The most notable early settler was a yousafzai tribesman "Sirbuland Khan" who arrived in this area with Saidu Baba for preaching of Islam. Sirbuland Khan start residing in Mandani. He was a religious scholar and saint. He had two notable grand sons "Molana Fazal-i-Ahmad and "Fazl-i-Ahad" who were known as Molvi of Mandani. Where as Fazl-i-Ahad played a pivotal role in independence movement of 1857, khilafat movement and the Mazdoor kisan movement. In British regime he spent 3 years rigorous imprisonment. Utmankhel is the most abounded, socially activated and most educated people of mandani. Mr. Aslam Khan is an ex-AEO. One of them.

Landi Arbab Village not city in Peshawar District, Pakistan

Landi Arbab (Pashto: is a village in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Peshawar, Pakistan. As per government documents, its name is Landi Yarghajo. The village is a 15 minutes drive away from Peshawar International Airport and Peshawar Saddar. The village is largely populated by Qazi, Murad Khel, Arbab, Malaks, Syeds, Ahmad zai, Fateh Khan Khel and Ghorghust clans, Arbab is one of the most powerful and noble family of the village and peshawar, It is the only village in the area that provides direct routes to Ring Road Peshawar, Peshawar City, Gulberg Peshawar, Peshawar Saddar, Peshawar cant, Peshawar International Airport, Kohat Road, Bara-gate, and University Road, Peshawar. Kala Khel is a clan of Tirah Adam Khel. Adam Khel is a sub-tribe of Afridi that has originated from the Karlanee or Karlani group of Pashtuns. The Kala Khel clan of Tirah Adam Khel inhabits in FR Peshawar region and in Bara and Torghar as well. It can be found on Google Maps at 33.728623N,71.55256E and Tirah valley of Khyber agency at 33.73N, 71.01E.

Forward Degree College

Forward Degree College is a part of Forward System which is started after the establishment of Pakistan in 1949 to fill the vacuum created by closure of Non-Muslim educational institute in Peshawar after 1947. Forward Degree College is one of private colleges affiliated with University of Peshawar.

2014 Peshawar school massacre terrorist attack on the Army Public School in the Pakistani city of Peshawar

On 16 December 2014, six gunmen affiliated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) conducted a terrorist attack on the Army Public School in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar. The militants, all of whom were foreign nationals, included one Chechen, three Arabs and two Afghans, entered the school and opened fire on school staff and children, killing 149 people including 132 schoolchildren, ranging between eight and eighteen years of age making it the world's fourth deadliest school massacre. A rescue operation was launched by the Pakistan Army's Special Services Group (SSG) special forces, who killed all six terrorists and rescued 960 people.

Peshawar Zalmi is a Pakistani franchise T20 cricket team which plays in the Pakistan Super League and represents Peshawar, the capital city of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The team is owned by Javed Afridi who is a renowned Businessman. Peshawar Zalmi was established in 2015 following the announcement of the inaugural Pakistan Super League (PSL) by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Darren Sammy is the current captain of the team as of October 2016 and Mohammad Akram is the Head Coach and Director Cricketing Affairs.
