Frederick S. Mansfield (died 1922) was an American tennis player active in the late 19th century.
Mansfield reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. National Championships in 1886, 1887 and 1889. He won the Canadian International Championships in 1891.

The Championships, Wimbledon, commonly known simply as Wimbledon or The Championships, is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is widely regarded as the most prestigious. George Whiteside Hillyard was a male tennis player from the United Kingdom. Under his supervision as secretary of the All England Club from 1907 to 1925, the Wimbledon Championships moved to its current site at Church Road. Hillyard also excelled at cricket and golf.
The Ohio State University at Mansfield is a satellite campus of Ohio State University in Mansfield, Ohio. It was founded in 1958 as a land-grant college and occupies a 644-acre (2.61 km2) campus that is shared with North Central State College. Mansfield High School was a secondary school for 11- to 16-year-olds, in Brierfield, Lancashire. The school closed in June 2006 as part of the UK Government's Building Schools for the Future project. Edge End High School in neighbouring Nelson also closed its doors at the same time; the enrolled students from these two schools were merged into one and the new Marsden Heights Community College is now the secondary school serving this area.

Most rules of (lawn) tennis derive from this precursor and it is reasonable to see both sports as variations of the same game. Most historians believe that tennis was originated in the monastic cloisters in northern France in the 12th century, but the ball was then struck with the palm of the hand; hence, the name jeu de paume. It was not until the 16th century that rackets came into use, and the game began to be called "tennis." It was popular in England and France, and Henry VIII of England was a big fan of the game, now referred to as real tennis.

Pantego Christian Academy (PCA) is a private Christian school in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. Its main campus, the Arlington Campus, has a building at 2201 West Park Row Drive in Arlington and a 57,000-square-foot (5,300 m2) high school building at 2221 West Park Row Drive in Pantego. She won the US Women's National Championship in women's doubles four times, including three consecutive titles between 1918 and 1920 with Marion Zinderstein.
