Frog Mobile is a pre-paid mobile service, offered in Greece by Cosmote, one of the three major mobile network operators of Greece. Sometimes, it is wrongly labelled mobile virtual network operator, but is in effect a no-thrills, low-cost pre-paid service aimed at budget users and people with limited economic opportunities or people interested in basic mobile communication only.

Mobilink was the trade name of Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited (PMCL), a mobile operator in Pakistan providing a range of prepaid and postpaid (Indigo) voice and data telecommunication services to both individual and corporate subscribers. In 2017, Warid Pakistan merged with Mobilink to form Jazz, under which the company now operates. Mobilink's head office was in Islamabad, and its last president and CEO was Aamir Hafeez Ibrahim, who became the CEO of Jazz.

The company is headquartered in Athens and is a fully owned subsidiary of the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE), the incumbent telecommunications provider in Greece. COSMOTE has developed business operations in two other South East Europe countries through subsidiaries: Telekom Albania and Telekom Romania, addressing an extended market of 45 million people. In all three countries COSMOTE counts approximately 35.6 million customers.

With over 500,000 active subscribers and 400 employees of which 90% have a bachelor's degree or higher education. The company's network functions on an HSPA+ network in Ulaanbaatar and [CDMA2000 1x] & [EVDO] network technology in the rest of the country.
3 or Three is a global brand name owned by Hutchison 3G Enterprises S.A.R.L., under which several UMTS-based mobile phone networks and broadband internet providers operate in Hong Kong, Macau, Austria, Denmark, Indonesia, Ireland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The brand was founded in 2002 in Hong Kong. As of 2022, registered Three customers worldwide numbered over 110 million.

Unitel S.A. is a private Angolan mobile phone company which was established on 8 March 2001 as a joint-stock company. The company is owned by Oi and Helios, Angolan state-owned oil company Sonangol and local firms like Geni holding, and Vidatel owned by Isabel dos Santos, each holding 25% of Unitel. Tony Dolton is the Executive Director of Unitel since September 2013.
3G mobile telephony was relatively slow to be adopted globally. In some instances, 3G networks do not use the same radio frequencies as 2G so mobile operators must build entirely new networks and license entirely new frequencies, especially so to achieve high data transmission rates. Other delays were due to the expenses of upgrading transmission hardware, especially for UMTS, whose deployment required the replacement of most broadcast towers. Due to these issues and difficulties with deployment, many carriers delayed acquisition of these updated capabilities.
The People's Operator was a mobile virtual network operator that provided mobile phone services in the United Kingdom via Three, and in the United States via the Sprint and T-Mobile networks. It was launched in 2012, with the stated aim of being an ethical mobile network operator. TPO said that their service gave private customers the opportunity to support good causes, charities, nonprofits, "progressive organisations" or "ethical groups" of their choice and receive updates on how their money was being spent, while businesses could fulfill their corporate social responsibility commitments. The company's stock lost nearly 90 percent in value in the year and a half after its launch. Trading of The People's Operator stock on the London exchange was suspended in July 2018, after the company failed to provide its 2017 financial reports. In December 2018, the company received a cash infusion from the holding company that was majority owner of Lycamobile. On 13 February 2019, TPO announced it had entered administration; its stock ceased trading on 26 February 2019.
Lucky Mobile is a Canadian prepaid mobile virtual network operator and a subsidiary of Bell Canada. Founded in December 2017, Lucky Mobile operates on the Bell Mobility network alongside fellow subsidiary Virgin Plus. It targets the same market segment as discount mobile brands Chatr and Public Mobile.
