Fyre Dept is the production team of Adam Deitch and Eric Krasno.
Their songs are featured on two of the 2007’s biggest records: “My Gun Go Off”, found on 50 Cent’s album Curtis , and “The Nature” by Talib Kweli w/ Justin Timberlake, featured on Talib’s album Eardrum . The duo co-produced “The Nature” with Justin Timberlake, who also performs on the track. Eardrum debuted at number 2 on the Billboard charts. The duo also produced multiple tracks on albums by Redman ( Red Gone Wild , Def Jam) and Xzibit (Full Circle, Koch).
Eric Krasno (Soulive) and Adam Deitch (drummer for Wyclef Jean, John Scofield, etc.) combine live instrumentation with modern production techniques. Although Krasno and Deitch both play a variety of instruments, they have put together a crew of New York instrumentalists ranging from classical string players to horn sections. They rarely rely on samples when producing, preferring to use live musicians. Fyre Dept. backed GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan on tour and have also backed the likes of Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, Black Thought, The Beatnuts, Chali 2na, Jean Grae, J-Live, Slick Rick and KRS-One.
Eric Krasno is a founding member and guitarist of the soul-rock outfit Soulive. Soulive has released records for Velour Music Group, Blue Note and is currently signed to the revived Stax Records label. Krasno has toured nationally and internationally with Soulive, and has opened for the likes of the Rolling Stones and Dave Matthews Band.
Adam Deitch’s career has crossed genres, focusing on hip-hop, funk and jazz, playing the role of both drummer and producer. He has carried out session work on drums for artists including Justin Timberlake, Daniel Bedingfield, Anthony Hamilton, DJ Quik and Wyclef Jean and the Fugees. Deitch has toured the world and recorded as a member of the Grammy-nominated John Scofield Band, Lettuce, Pretty Lights, the Average White Band, The Fugees, Wyclef Jean, Me'shell Ndegéocello and his own Adam Deitch Project.

Fugees was an American hip hop group who rose to fame in the mid-1990s. Their repertoire included elements of hip hop, soul and Caribbean music, particularly reggae. The members of the group were Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, and Pras Michel. Deriving their name from a shortening of the word "refugees", Jean and Michel are Haitian while Hill is American.

Reflection Eternal is an American hip hop duo composed of emcee Talib Kweli and producer Hi-Tek. They released their first album, Train of Thought, in 2000. They have since released a mixtape, The RE: Union, in late December 2009, and their second album Revolutions Per Minute was released May 18, 2010.
Anthony John Medeski is an American jazz keyboard player and composer. Medeski is a veteran of New York's 1990s avant-garde jazz scene and is known popularly as a member of Medeski Martin & Wood. He plays the acoustic piano and an eclectic array of keyboards, including the Hammond B3 organ, melodica, mellotron, clavinet, ARP String Ensemble, Wurlitzer electric piano, Moog Voyager Synthesizer, Wurlitzer 7300 Combo Organ, Vox Continental Baroque organ, and Yamaha CS-1 Synthesizer, among others. When playing acoustic piano, Medeski usually plays the Steinway piano and is listed as a Steinway Artist.

Idle Warship is a musical duo composed of Brooklyn emcee Talib Kweli and Philadelphia singer Res. Res has appeared on each Talib Kweli album since 2000's Train of Thought. They have also toured together, including on the summer 2005 MGD Flavor 2 Savor mini-tour. They released their debut mixtape, Party Robot, on October 27, 2009 for free. This was originally set for a 2008 release and announced on Talib Kweli's MySpace page in a New Year's blog entry.
Soulive is a funk/jazz trio that originated in Woodstock, New York, and is known for its solos and catchy, upbeat songs. The band consists of Eric Krasno (guitar), Alan Evans (drums) and Neal Evans. Although they originated as a trio, the band has worked extensively with different horn sections, which have included Sam Kininger (saxophone) from 2000 to 2003, Rashawn Ross (trumpet), and Ryan Zoidis (saxophone) from 2003 to 2006. The band also worked with vocalist Toussaint Yeshua from 2006 to 2007. Soulive is currently touring in the original trio lineup of Eric Krasno, Alan Evans, and Neal Evans.

Adam David Deitch is an American record producer and drummer based in Denver, Colorado. He is the drummer for the bands Lettuce and Break Science and has worked in the hip hop, funk, electro, pop, and jazz genres, and has collaborated with rapper Wax and soul/jazz singer Ledisi. He was nominated for the 2010 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for writing and producing two songs on Ledisi's album Turn Me Loose as part of the Fyre Dept. production team. Deitch co-founded Royal Family Records and has worked with guitarist John Scofield and rapper 50 Cent.
Lettuce is a funk band that originated in Boston, Massachusetts in 1992. Its members are guitarist Adam "Shmeeans" Smirnoff, Nigel Hall, Adam Deitch (drums/percussion), Erick "Jesus" Coomes (bass), Ryan Zoidis (saxophone) and trumpeter Eric "Benny" Bloom.
Talib Kweli Greene is an American rapper, entrepreneur, and activist. Kweli earned recognition early on through his collaboration with fellow Brooklyn rapper Mos Def, when they formed the group Black Star. Kweli's musical career continued with solo success including collaborations with producers and rappers Kanye West, Just Blaze, and Pharrell Williams. His most recent solo album is titled Radio Silence, released in 2017. In 2011, Kweli founded his own record label, Javotti Media.
