The GLAAD Davidson/Valenti Award is a special GLAAD Media Award presented annually by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation at the GLAAD Media Awards ceremony held in San Francisco. It is named in memory of Craig Davidson, GLAAD's first executive director, and his partner Michael Valentini, a GLAAD supporter. It is presented to an openly LGBT individual who has made a significant difference in promoting equal rights for the LGBT community.

It was nominated for a 2010 Emmy Award, and won Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival's jury award for best documentary. The documentary's prime subject was Michael Rogers, founder of BlogActive.com.

GLAAD announced the 176 nominees split across 30 categories on January 8, 2020, in New York City, New York. The award show was originally scheduled to be held in New York City, hosted by Lilly Singh, on March 19, 2020, with the remaining awards presented in Los Angeles on April 16, 2020. However, the award show was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A virtual ceremony aired on GLAAD's Facebook and YouTube channels on July 30, 2020. The ceremony was hosted by Fortune Feimster and Gina Yashere, along with guest appearances from numerous celebrities.
The portrayals of pansexuality in the media reflect existing societal attitudes towards pansexuality and current media portrayals. Although pansexual characters are not often characters in mass media, they have appeared in various films, TV series, literature, video games, graphic art, and webcomics, sometimes embodying certain tropes in cinema and fantasy.
