Gabbla is a 2009 film.
Despite practically living as a recluse far from the maddening world, Malek, a forty-year-old topographer, accepts a job to the West of Algeria. A company in Oran entrusts him with the layout of the new electrical line that will bring power to the hamlets in the Ouarsenis Massif, an area that lived under the whip of radical Islamism until barely ten years ago. After several hours on the road, Malek reaches the base camp. While he starts putting things in order, he discovers a young woman hidden in a corner.
Mohamed Mounir is an Egyptian singer and actor, with a musical career spanning more than four decades. He incorporates various genres into his music, including classical Egyptian music, Nubian music, blues, jazz and reggae. His lyrics are noted both for their philosophical content and for their passionate social and political commentary. Rami Said Malek is an American actor. Rosie Malek-Yonan is an Assyrian-American actress, author, director, public figure and activist. Malek-Yonan became a noted pianist at an early age. Having graduated from the University of Cambridge, she settled in the United States, where she pursued a career in music and dramatic arts. The film stars Rami Malek as Mercury, with Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joe Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Tom Hollander, and Mike Myers in supporting roles. Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor also served as consultants on the film. A British-American venture, the film was produced by Regency Enterprises, GK Films and Queen Films, with 20th Century Fox serving as distributor.
