Gando is a village on the Zanzibari island of Pemba. It is located on the northwest coast of the island, seven kilometres northwest of Wete. The island of Njao lies immediately to the west of the village.

Most seaweed that is farmed here is sold to the Zanea Seaweeds Ltd company and distributed around the globe. The Island of Zanzibar produces around 11,000 tons of seaweed each year, a large amount of this coming from Jambiani sources.

The market in Kinyasini is well known for its fresh fruit since it is in an inland location, but it also provides the inland islanders with fresh fish daily brought from Mkokotoni and Kiwengwa. This is also a common place to see local life and barter between the villages located inland and the one on the ocean front.
