The Gateway College of Architecture and Design has been set up by Gateway Education and offers a five-year B. Architecture program. This society has as a partner, an architect who has a strong desire of providing education to the young people, aspiring to lead a creative life of an architect, a platform that is based on idealistic but pragmatic thinking. The college is being guided by another architect who has a vast experience in architectural education and believes in using contemporary teaching methods for effective education. The group has the long term plans of becoming a University offering a variety of under graduate and post-graduate courses. The group is running a successful, modern CBSE school, an Engineering College and a Hotel Management College. GCAD was awarded the best upcoming architecture institute in Haryana.

Architecture is both the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings or any other structures. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. The founding director of GCAD is Prof Anil Kumar, who was formerly a professor at Chandigarh College of Architecture and DCRUST, Murthal.

First batch

The first batch, i.e., batch of 2008-13, has passed out. The batch is known for its creativity and the most noted example is one of the students winning the IFF Award which was held in New Delhi.

NASA

The college hosted the 55th Annual Convention of NASA (National Association for Students in Architecture) from 25–29 January 2013. Over 3000 students and 200 faculty members stayed in the campus and attended the carnival. Students and guests from Pakistan, Australia, Nepal besides India participated in the convention.

The Annual NASA Convention

The Annual NASA Convention is the annual get together of National Association of Students of Architecture. It is a four-day-long event held towards the end of January and is attended by around 5,000 students. Called Annual NASA when it was started sixty years ago, the convention has gone on to become an integral part of all architecture colleges not only in India but as well as in the SAARC Nation. The Annual NASA Convention in 2016 was hosted by Gijubhai Chhaganbhai Patel Institute of Architecture (GCPIA), VNSGU, Surat from 1 to 5 February 2016. The overall championship trophy for 2016 was won by College of Engineering, Trivandrum.

National Association of Students of Architecture organization

National Association of Students of Architecture, briefly designated as NASA India, is a student association, one of its kind for the undergraduate students of Architecture in India. It was established in 1957 with seven colleges, namely:
