Gerardo Greco (born January 13, 1966) is an Italian journalist.
Gerardo Greco graduated from LUISS Guido Carli university in Rome. He then went on to study at the school of Radio and Television Journalism in Perugia, Italy. He debuted in the 1990s as a news reporter following breaking news and Italian affairs. His work at this time is most characterized by the Tangentopoli scandal, a large-scale criminal investigation in the early 1990s against widespread corruption and bribery in Italian administrative, political, and business circles.
In 2001, he became the first North American correspondent for RAI in New York, and shortly afterward for the TG2 network. He assisted in covering the developing stories regarding the September 11 attacks. He has reported many notable breaking news stories in North America to Italy including that of the Bush presidency, the natural disaster incurred by Hurricane Katrina and the 2006–2008 Cuban transfer of presidential duties from Fidel Castro to his brother Raúl Castro.

Ideologically a Marxist–Leninist and Cuban nationalist, he also served as the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba from 1965 until 2011. Under his administration, Cuba became a one-party communist state; industry and business were nationalized, and socialist reforms were implemented throughout society.

Good Morning America is an American morning television program that is broadcast on ABC. It debuted on November 3, 1975, and first expanded to weekends with the debut of a Sunday edition on January 3, 1993. The Sunday edition was canceled in 1999; weekend editions returned on both Saturdays and Sundays on September 4, 2004. The weekday and Saturday programs airs from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in all United States timezones. The Sunday editions are an hour long and are transmitted to ABC's stations live at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time, although stations in some media markets air them at different times. Viewers in the Pacific Time Zone receive an updated feed with a specialized opening and updated live reports. A third hour of the weekday broadcast aired from 2007 to 2008, exclusively on ABC News Now.
The Cuban Five, also known as the Miami Five, are five Cuban intelligence officers who were arrested in September 1998 and later convicted in Miami of conspiracy to commit espionage, conspiracy to commit murder, acting as an agent of a foreign government, and other illegal activities in the United States. The Five were in the United States to observe and infiltrate the Cuban-American groups Alpha 66, the F4 Commandos, the Cuban American National Foundation, and Brothers to the Rescue. They were part of La Red Avispa composed of at least 27 Cuban spies.
Carol Lin is an American former journalist, best known as the first national television news anchor to report on the September 11 attacks, reporting for CNN, at 8:49 a.m. on the day of the attacks. Lin previously worked as a reporter for ABC News and reported for NPR. She subsequently worked for the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office as a communications director and senior advisor.

Julio Antonio Mella McPartland was a Cuban political activist, journalist, communist revolutionary, and one of the founders of the original Communist Party of Cuba. Mella studied law at the University of Havana but was expelled in 1925. He had worked against the government of Gerardo Machado, which had grown increasingly repressive. Mella left the country, reaching Central America. He traveled north to Mexico City, where he worked with other exiled dissidents and communist sympathizers against the Machado government. He was assassinated in 1929, but historians still disagree on which parties were responsible for his death. The 21st century Cuban government regards Mella as a communist hero and martyr.
