Ghost is a Scottish record producer based in London, [1] who primarily produces British hip hop. His stage name is a reference to his tendency to spend a lot of time working in his studio, rather than being seen in public. [2] He has been described by some journalists as one of the UK's top hip hop producers. [3] [4]
Ghost also presented the Midweek Session on London radio station Itch FM. [5]
Born in Glasgow, Ghost learnt how to produce music using his father's W30 sampling keyboard and Cubase.
Ghost made his debut in 2003 with the Ghost Stories EP. He was runner up in the Glastonbury Unsigned Talent contest in 2007 and had a track featured on the Glastonbury compilation CD for that year. Since 2007 he has been touring and DJing across the UK and Europe, including performances at Glastonbury, Hip Hop Kemp, The Big Chill, Bestival and the Jazz Cafe. He has also worked on a number of side projects, including Lingua Franca and Invisible Inc, a synth/electronic hip hop project with Kashmere and Verb T.
His debut album Seldom Seen Often Heard was described by Rapnews as "a great release which certainly provides value of money and a lot of playback moments". [6] A single from the album, 2006's "Basic Instinct" featured vocals from Abstract Rude. [7] Alternate versions of Ghost's first two albums have been released in Japan. His tracks have been included on several mix CDs and compilations, including DJ Yoda's Fabric Live mix.
Ghost has also remixed tracks for other artists. He released a remix project online entitled Remixes from the Edge, and a collaborative project, Invisible Inc – The Exit Strategy, with Verb T and Kashmere, via his own label, Musicforheads.
Ghost is currently program director at RDU-FM in Christchurch, New Zealand and hosts the Friday Drive Radio Show on RDU every week, focused on hip hop, dubstep, and electronic music.
Benjamin Pettit, better known as DJ Zinc, is a British DJ and record producer. Zinc first became known for 1995's "Super Sharp Shooter", a hip hop/jungle fusion, notably one of the pioneering jump-up anthems of its time. He went on to produce drum and bass, breakbeat and more recently UK garage and house.
Adam Freeland is an English record producer and DJ. He is also the owner and creative director of the record label Marine Parade, which has released material by artists including Evil Nine, ILS, Alex Metric and Jape. Born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England, he first began DJing in 1991, originally mixing deep house and later drum and bass. After becoming an in-demand DJ around Britain, he released his first mix album Coastal Breaks (1996) and formed the electronic music duo Tsunami One with Kevin Beber. From 1999 to 2001, Freeland hosted a show on Friday night on London's Kiss 100 FM. In 2000, he released his debut studio album, Now & Them.
Mars Ill is an emcee/DJ hip-hop duo from Atlanta, Georgia. The duo consists of Gregory Owens (Manchild) and Nathan Corrona. They are also part of the hip-hop collective and supergroup Deepspace5.
William G. Shields, better known by his stage name Jehst, is an English rapper and co-founder of hip hop label YNR Productions.
Foreign Beggars were an English hip hop and dubstep group. Since their formation in 2002, the group's trajectory had seen them evolve from an underground hip hop group to an electronic crossover act. The group consisted of four artists individually known as Orifice Vulgatron, Metropolis Graham, DJ Nonames, and Dag Nabbit. Vulgatron and Metropolis combined with Noisia to make the side project and supergroup "I Am Legion". They released their collaborative album I Am Legion on 2 September 2013.
Kareem Dennis, better known by his stage name Lowkey, is a British rapper and activist from London. He first became known through a series of mixtapes he released before he was 18, before taking a hiatus from the music business. He would return in 2008, with appearances on BBC Radio and at various festivals and concerts including the BBC Electric Proms, Glastonbury, T In The Park and Oxegen in the buildup to his first solo album Dear Listener, as well as collaborating with other British musicians to form the supergroup Mongrel. He released his second solo album, Soundtrack to the Struggle, independently on in 2011.
Nuke Proof Suit is an EP by British hip hop artist Jehst. This release reveals evidence of a new style in terms of production and lyrics, as the EP takes a more 'catchy' approach with rhythmic hooks and 'Rap-a-long' style rhymes. Jehst confirmed this in an interview with ukhh.com in July 2005, when he described the forthcoming EP as "...more moving it [in] the direction of sound over content in a way."
QBoy is a UK-based rapper, producer, DJ, writer and presenter. He is one of the original few out rappers in hip hop circa 2001 that became pioneers of the new subgenre colloquially known as "homo hop". QBoy is currently a DJ and promoter of popular LGBTQ club night and party 'R & She: The Queens of Hip-Hop & R&B' which hosts events in London, Berlin and New York City.
Kareem Rhouila, better known as Stylah, is a South London rapper from Greenwich, London. He describes himself as a black Arab, half Omani and half Moroccan. After being interested in music for some time, he decided to pursue it seriously. His first mixtape, 2004's The Prince of Thieves, single-handedly sold 9000 copies on the streets of London and other cities spring one single called "Warfare Part II" featuring Serious.

Rhyme Asylum was an English, London-based hip hop group formed in 2002 by MCs Possessed, Psiklone and Skirmish. Leatherface and Plazma joined in 2004.
Basic Instinct is the fourth studio album by American singer Ciara. It was released on December 10, 2010, by LaFace Records and Jive Records. Executive-produced by A&R agent Mark Pitts, Ciara, Tricky Stewart and The-Dream, Basic Instinct returns Ciara to her urban roots with mid-tempo R&B cuts and bass-heavy pop and dance songs. Aside from production by Stewart and The-Dream, Ciara collaborated with production by Soundz, Infinity and T-Minus. Frequent collaborator and friend Ludacris makes a guest vocal appearance, as does labelmate and fellow Atlanta-native, Usher. After her previous album, Fantasy Ride, suffered numerous leaks and pushbacks, information about Basic Instinct was kept confidential until the first single was released and album was complete.
Gospel Reprise: A Few More Gems is an EP by rapper MCM, former front man for UK hip hop group Caveman. The EP was digitally released on 23 April 2012 to support the previous MCM album The Gospel: The Missing Gems of MCM Caveman (1994-2011). It features several unreleased songs from the 1990s era not found on the 2011 album.
