Created in 2007, its territory – which was unaffected by a boundary review in 2017 – contains the town of Erskine and adjacent village of Inchinnan; its limitations include the M8 and M898 motorways to the west, the River Clyde to the north, the River Cart to the east and its tributary the Black Cart Water to the south. In 2020, the ward's population was 18,063.

        2022 Renfrewshire Council election

        The 2022 Renfrewshire Council elections took place on 5 May 2022, as part of the 2022 Scottish local elections on the same day as the 31 other Scottish local authorities were up for election. The election used the 12 wards created under the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004 and last changed as part of the as a result of the 2015-16 Boundary Commission review, with 43 councillors being elected. Each ward elected either 3 or 4 members, using the STV electoral system.

        Renfrew North and Braehead (ward)

        Renfrew North and Braehead is one of the twelve wards used to elect members of the Renfrewshire Council. It elects four councillors. As its name suggests, its territory covers the northern parts of Renfrew.

        Paisley Northeast and Ralston is one of the twelve wards used to elect members of the Renfrewshire Council. It elects three Councillors.

        Paisley Northwest (ward)

        Paisley Northwest is one of the twelve wards used to elect members of the Renfrewshire Council. It was created in 2007 and elects four Councillors. As its name suggests, it covers the north-western areas of Paisley including part of the town centre and the Castlehead, Ferguslie Park, Gockston, Maxwellton, Millarston and Shortroods neighbourhoods. Coats Memorial Church, Glasgow International Airport, Paisley Museum and Art Galleries, Paisley Sheriff Court, the Royal Alexandra Hospital, St Mirren Park football stadium and the main campus of the University of the West of Scotland also lie within the ward, the north-eastern boundary of which is the White Cart Water, the southern boundary along the course of the old Paisley Canal line and Potterhill branch railway tracks, and the eastern boundary Calside / Stanely Road.

        Paisley East and Central is one of the twelve wards used to elect members of the Renfrewshire Council. It elects three Councillors.

        Houston, Crosslee and Linwood is one of the twelve wards used to elect members of the Renfrewshire Council in Scotland. It elects four councillors. Created in 2007, its territory – which was unaffected by a boundary review in 2017 – takes in the adjacent villages of Crosslee and Houston, and the nearby small town of Linwood, as well as Brookfield. In 2020, the ward's population was 19,152.

        The 2022 East Renfrewshire Council election took place on 5 May 2022 on the same day as the 31 other Scottish local government elections. The election will use the 5 wards created under the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004, with 18 councillors being elected. Each ward elected either 3 or 4 members, using the STV electoral system.

        2022 Midlothian Council election

        The 2022 Midlothian Council election took place on 5 May 2022 as part of the 2022 Scottish local elections. The council is composed of six wards, each electing three councillors.
