Glamcult is an Amsterdam-based magazine that focuses on fashion, music, and art. Glamcult markets itself as an unbiased and socially progressive magazine, with international focus.
Glamcult was originally founded in 2003 by Rogier Vlaming and Wiebe de Ridder as an Independent Style Paper. Vlaming, the Editor-in-Chief, is now the sole publisher. In its first year as a newspaper, Glamcult was distributed by bike in the four biggest cities in the Netherlands. In 2008, Glamcult Independent Style Paper and Supernova Graphic Design, came together and formed Glamcult Studio & Glamcult Magazine.
From 2015, the newspaper developed into a bi-annual magazine and has featured creatives including Lizzo, FKA Twigs, SOPHIE, Cardi B, and Tommy Ca$h.
Glamcult Studio is Glamcult's sister company; a graphic design studio, owned and ran by Marline Bakker.

Franklin Christenson "Chris" Ware is an American cartoonist known for his Acme Novelty Library series and the graphic novels Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth (2000), Building Stories (2012) and Rusty Brown (2019). His works explore themes of social isolation, emotional torment and depression. He tends to use a vivid color palette and realistic, meticulous detail. His lettering and images are often elaborate and sometimes evoke the ragtime era or another early 20th-century American design style.
The Illustrated London News, founded by Herbert Ingram and first published on Saturday 14 May 1842, was the world's first illustrated weekly news magazine. The magazine was published weekly for most of its existence, switched to a less frequent publication schedule in 1971, and eventually ceased publication in 2003. Philadelphia City Paper was an alternative weekly newspaper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The independently owned paper was free and published every Thursday in print and daily online at citypaper.net. Staff reporters focused on labor issues, politics, education and poverty. Jazz journalism was a term applied to American sensational newspapers in the 1920s. Focused on entertainment, celebrities, sports, scandal and crime, the style was a New York phenomenon, practiced primarily by three new tabloid-size daily newspapers in a fight for circulation. Convenient for readers on subways, the small-format papers were designed to display large page one photographs and headlines for newsstand sales.
